Morning fellas. Anyone watch the Quins game last night? Brilliant performance, their defence was tops. Mike Brown getting better every game.
With regards to the potential new league, as I said I'd be keen. Would it be worthwhile to change EQ to BQ, to include the Celts? Would find it difficult to hunt around for 120 decent English players each week. (12 teams having 10 each, just in case that stumped anyone!)

That's part of the challenge really Pull, it's not about having an amazing team every week it's more to do with finding good enough English players to fit into your matchday XV.
It would initially only be 4 EQ starting and 10 in squad.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I don't think that would work as well to be honest this time round Driver.
I do think there has to be a big help for Falcons and Worcester and maybe Sale and Wasps. As it will be very hard for me to deal away my Sale squaud players whereas Leicester's bench has better starting players than the lesser clubs do.

Agree Steve. Budgets should be worked depending on the no of foreigns we are allowed. I.e if we are allowed 3 signings Tigers/Saints/Sarries should have the cash for 1 signing starting off, Then a group in the middle Glaws, Quins, Irish, Bath, Chiefs with enough for say 1.5 signings and then the last 4 sides with enough for 2-2.5 signings.
Should note EQ abroad shouldnt count as foreign as well. So Wilko, Palmer etc would be open game to help boost EQ in the league

Would add Ben Foden, Samo Manoa from Saints, both playing very well. Attwoods had a couple of good games for Bath and Salvi for Tigers has been on very good form.
Who do people think will partner Lawes for England come 6Nations? Seems to be between Deacon, Robson and Attwood? Any other contenders.

If he picks on from we will see a lot of new caps like robshaw and Robson however if he does not we will see croft and Deacon.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I think Croft is playing himself out at the moment and with Wood's lineout ability then we will see a backrow of Robshaw, Wood and Easter, with Croft on the bench.
Did Robson play for the Saxons under Lancaster? I can see it being Attwood and Lawes if Easter is at the back on the scrum with the power he has.
Little confused as to how many new players England are allowed to bring into a squad with the whole EPS thing - assume that all those playing abroad are out of it (Haskell, Shaw, Palmer etc) and the retirements (Wilko, Moody, Tindall etc) - I think there are at least 7-8 new spots up for grabs?

EPS is completly fresh Chris. Lancaster could change the whole squad if he wanted as far as I know. Once its named thats when changes are restricted I.e. Injuries only

I didnt know that, thought he was only allowed to make 'x' number of changes. Who do people think will feature then?
Reckon Robshaw and Farrel are certs, was thinking a lot will be players Lancaster has seen in the Saxons already - reckon Jonny May will get a call up too, worth getting talent like that in the squad right away.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Lawes is a pretty powerful scruammager Pooly - very important part of the Saints and England scrum. Would say he needs to work on his ball carrying, and would need a ball carrying lock alongside him. Havent seen enough of Robson to say for certain if he can do that at all.
Attwoods impressed me of late (sorry Pete byt might be recalling him soon lol).
Think Robshaw has to be a chance at next level - still need an out and out 7 though, seems to be a real lack of them in England atm. All other positions apart from 7 and 8 covered.
Got so many great no9s coming though atm - cant think of many nations that could call on Youngs, Care and Simpson.

i might be interested pooly, but would it not be fairer to do random teams?
and then if they want people can swap. i wouldnt want to be irish again.
think there needs to be more transfers between clubs and less foreigns transfers.

Got Wasps available mate? Theyll only be so many transfers and prob look to do one championship one a month too.
Be looking at max of 3/4 foreigns first season for the smaller clubs

If there is no draw then their would have to be an incentive for people to be the lesser teams. I wouldn't want to be Sale unless I supported them so can't imagine people would be delighted to be Newcastle or Worcester or Exeter.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Tell me about it! Who wants Falcons lol
Been working it out and if look to do an English draft for bottom 5 clubs on scale (Haskell, Wilko, Palmer etc) and give them a healthy budget.
Depends what you want Steve, think Sale would be enjoyable and a challenge. A few key signings and there is every chance you could win the league with them

I am more than happy to be Sale, but I wouldn't be as happy with Falcons or Worcester as its going to be very tough to get players without letting your own best players go.
I think that draft is a good idea.

Best article I've seen yet on the potential England squad - looks like Delon Armitage is going to miss out...and Quins to feature heavily.

Be suprised if Banahan is included over Armitage. Both are versatile squad players really, Armitage definitely offers more though and can play 3 positions.
