Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
deserved bonus point there we played the more attractive rugby.
All the talk about Leicester injuries but today we were without Sheridan, Ward, Buckley, Ostrikov, Lewaravu, Fourie, Vernon, Mathie, Lavea and Cueto. (and may as well have been without Seymour and Thomas with their injuries)
Auva'a was sensational as we Miller,Brady, Macleod and McKenzie

Good battling result from Sale that, not seem the game but thought Tigers would hammer them looking at the teams

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I thought the teams were fairly even on paper before hand. A lot of Sale players underrated (McKenzie, Macleod, Brady) etc. Some of Leicester's players haven't been playing very well of late.
Referee seemed to be refereeing the names in the scrum rather than the actual scrums until castro went off injured he then started to make better calls.

Sale's offloading considering the conditions were as good as I've seen from any side this season.
It will be a very good game I think Nick, I am confident of our chances, particularly after today's results. We gave away too many pens though and Homer will punish us if we do that next week.

I guess as a Sale fan you know the players a little more and rate them higher. For a neutral I thought Tigers by at least 15, possibly more.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
That's the thing though.
Players like Matt Smith, Ed Slater, Stankovich, Agulla etc look better in the Leicester side that I personally think they are as players. Similar to players at Saints and other clubs. I'm not saying the Sale players are better but there isn't a bigger gap between the squad players at each club. It's the top players that make the difference I think.
developing a hatred for Geordan Murphy. Used to love him but all I've seen him do this season is punch, stamp and make mistakes.

Eg the difference between the sides today was how Flood exploited the mistakes Sale players made everytime. Anytime one flew out of the line they scored from it.

Flood was excellent today and confirmed in my mid he should be at 10.
9 however is still up in the air. Youngs failed to impress again. Could be a judgement call from Lancaster in the end.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I think Youngs has been playing really well, his attacking play is exceptional. Seems to do something magic each game although he's been making the odd mistake which Care doesn't seem to do.
I'd be happy with either starting tbh, both are top draw.

I've sky+ them Steve, got another week off work so hopefully get the chance to go through them. I like watching the Sales/Exeter's, gets a bit boring watching Sarries/Tigers/Saints every week.

I have been very disappointed this season with the games. I love watching the smaller sides at home to the bigger sides as a general rule but this season has been very odd with match choice at times.

Fairly stupid comments from Cockerill after todays game. Rather than admit Auva'a had a stormer and outplayed Salvi he decided the referee was inadequate and that fans deserved better.

Sorry was at wasps game today so no predos.
Another 4 players off injured - Wade, Robinson, Sam Jones&Elliot Daly - with Haughton hurt in the warm up.
Weirdest game I've seen, weather was shocking and wasps had all the play - just dont have any dynamic ball carriers in the pack and no one in the back line to crash over the gainline.

KJ has apparently asked him and he mentioned it on Scrum V that Morgan had opted for England. Will he be picked though????

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I believe he has spoken to Lancaster who persuaded him. Tbf Faletau is above him in pecking order so can sort of see how he has been convinced.
I like Morgan, I think he would be a good foil for our current flankers (Wood, Croft, Robshaw etc)

Right gents to give you time to bed players in the foreign bid will open tommorow at 9am.
You will receive 1 bid. However if the player is English or Under the Age of 20 on 1.11.2011 the bid will not count against your bid total however you can only use one of these bids.

I wasn't planning on it but if he was a 'freebie' being under 20 then it would have been heightened interest.
I'm after North and hoping having the biggest budget should secure him for me.

what's happening with these bids? I'm not going to be around much online tomorrow. Is it one main signing we can go for, plus 'x' number of u20s?
Is this anything to do with squad reductions?

Chris I think you essentially have one bid for anyone and one bid for someone under 20 on the 1st November 2011.
If you choose to spend the money.
