Winning Runs. The best and Worst.
Currently Harlequins are on a winning streak spanning 13 games. I thought as a bit of Friday fun we'd compare this to other teams best streaks, there has to be some teams out there who've won more then 13 on the bounce.
It can be from any level of competition and from any period in rugby history. Even if your clubs best is only 3 games against the u18's and over 60's lets hear about it.
So over to you stats geeks.

I think New Zealand or Lithuania hold the record for best international winning streak. It’s something like 17 games I think.
13 is a seriously impressive run though.

Imagine that 18th game play-off between NZ and Lithuinia though for overall best run could have gone either way

Re: Winning Runs. The best and Worst.
Ouch losing to England after all that, and in '98 when we weren't that brilliant.
I can't see any one topping 17 wins for a while though, unless you had a very good season leading up to winning a WC.
In club rugby it's getting more possible as there's just so many matches, we're at 13 and we haven't even played some teams yet in the league.

Having just looked upthat match:

I have a vague recollection of it. Honiball was I think dreadfull that day. Mind you that link seems to suggest that Martin Corry came on to replace Mike Catt at Fly Half. Pretty sure I would have remembered that.

Of course we should also look at the longest losing streaks

Cozza was always a bit of a utility man... er...
Pretty strong team up front for England that day.
Quins are having a cracking season but did make the most of the RWC call ups when they grabbed wins over the likes of Tigers and Saints. However, there should be a good number of academy directors studying the Quins model as they are producing talent left, right and centre.
