Week 13 Discussion
First topic message reminder :
I've got a day full of university work so probably won't be able to watch any games or catch up with the scores (I'll probably turn my internet off soon to prevent distractions) so would someone please be able to post the results from todays games later? Pretty annoyed I'm missing the Ravens @ Browns, but gives me more motivation to try and get this work done quickly, and serves me right for putting it off until the last minute.

Being a "beast" and winning a ring is different to being a great quarterback. 4 posts in 5 minutes with no replies, maybe you could have just edited your previous posts?cherriesfan wrote:tebow is a beast!!!!

A massive 4th quarter coming up for Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. With the Oakland Raiders getting stuffed out of sight in Miami the Broncos could, with a win, draw level in their division.

In a single season, not all time leader.

Re: Week 13 Discussion
Percy Harvin has well and truly stepped up in the absence of Adrian Peterson. Had a very shaky start to the year, but has done very well in the last two rushing, receiving and returning
EDIT: and now its just turning into a shootout... who would have thought it

harvin is seriously good and fun to watch. This guy is good enough to be up there with steve smith, mike wallace etc if he isn't already. If the vikings can get a true no 1 receiver to go with him and some o-line help, that offense could be really good.

Re: Week 13 Discussion
if the vikings can trade down and take floyd, jeffery or blackmon and trade up and get reiff, thus allowing johnson to move inside, i'd say the vikings would have one of the best offenses in the league, all they would have to do then is hope chris cook doesnt't get into more trouble and throw some money the way of a good corner and a safety in free agency

He has a great defence and can't throw a ball very quick but by God does Tebow get things done.

Has anyone noticed Dan Orlovsky's stats today. There now within 7 of the Patriots (albeit only 36 secs left) and Orlovsky is 30/37 353, 2 TD, 1 INT... not half bad all things considered... and i know the Patriots defense isn't spectacular

200 yards for Tebow. I think that is more than he has had in his last 2/3 games.

Re: Week 13 Discussion
Kudos to the Houston Texans. I genuinely thought they were done for when they were down to TJ Yates with a team like the Falcons coming to town.
But the defense has played spectacularly, Arian Foster has shown that he is well and truly not a "one year wonder" and TJ Yates was able to make throws to keep the Falcons honest and manage the game.
And because Derbyblue asked for the scores...
TEN 23, BUF 17
KC 10, CHI 3
ATL 10, HOU 17
OAK 14, MIA 34
DEN 35, MIN 32
IND 24, NE 31
CIN 7, PIT 35
CAR 38, TB 19
NYJ 34, WAS 19

Prater kicks the field goal to win it. Tebow and the Broncos tied at the top of the AFC West with the Chargers.

Re: Week 13 Discussion
Just got in from football and some crazy results! The AFC West is beyond me, from where the Broncos were at the beginning of the season to where they are now is amazing. 7-5 and probably the favourites to win the division.
The Falcons really should have been able to beat the Texans, all credit to Houston for toughing it out, but I still think they will struggle in the playoffs without Schaub.
Chicago's season looks like it is getting worse, now I read that Forte might be done for the year? Can't see them winning many games with Hanie and Barber at QB/RB.
Pittsburgh-Cincinnati - What happened? Was expecting the Bengals to go close as they have been moving the ball well against most defences and Big Ben is supposedly not fully healthy, but looks like they have been blown out!
As I type I see that Patrick Willis has gone down! This is real bad for our playoff hopes the defence just won't be the same without him

Some surprise results this week: Chiefs win, Miami score 34, Colts make it to over 20 points, Steelers win by almost 20, Bucs destroyed and just what we all need #Tebowmania continues. Was Orton starting for Chiefs? Don't think it will have been a good week for me in the prediction competition.

Re: Week 13 Discussion
Orton played one play for the Chiefs and dislocated a finger on his throwing hand during a flea flicker and did not return.
Also worth noting that the Colts scores were mostly in the 4th quarter so it wasnt particularly close

My only other memory of Chase Blackburn was in Super Bowl 42 when he got a "too many men on the field" penalty as Brady snapped the ball while Blackburn's back foot was just coming off the ground and on to the Giants sideline as he was subbed out.

How about David Akers for MVP?
It looks like the Packers have a game on their hands this week too.
