Re: Tiger is back in the winners circle- returns to world's top 20!
When Nicklaus won his first Open [I wos there] the golfing world consisted of about six countries. If someone in 1966 said that a golfer from Denmark might win an open they would have received a very funny look. A bit like saying today that a Nepalese woman might win the Ladies Open.
There has been a huge change in the last 40 years and it will be interesting to see what lies ahead.

I don't know if it was nerves or whether he just wasn't a very classy guy, but my god, he must have been nearly desicated by the time he walked off 18.
brilliant
Sorry, I'm a bit behind... am doing a bit of catching up on threads. Was away on business and missed all the fun and tantrums of last week. Looked a bit like Sarajevo on these boards.

I think Tiger has a good chance at the Masters next year. He's managed to compete there the last 2 years, so he will be in the mix again.
I also think the Open at Lytham represents a good opportunity for him to add to his major tally, especially if he adopts his iron off the tee policy that served him so well at Hoylake in 2006 and at the Chevron recently. Maybe this is just my perception, but is Lytham shorter than other Open venues?
I think the man will win more majors, but don't think he will overtake Jack's record.
