Re: England XV for 2012 6 Nations
Welcome to the site rugbyathletics1!
I think the above poster may be alluding to that there have been numerous XXII/EPS topics over the last month or two, so you may find that everyone is a bit burnt out on discussing the subject at the moment and you may not get many contributors.
For what it's worth, I think there has been a general consensus that would largely be in agreement with your XV selection, Barritt at 12 over Farrell, Robson/Garvey over Attwood and Easter as captain probably being the 3 most common differences. Think your bench might differ a bit more from most peoples though.

Is Haskell unavailable? I can never remember seeing as he seems to be with a new team every week. Is he abroad now?

He's with the Highlanders for a season in the Super 15. Think he'll be pushing for no. 8 when he comes back, although the likes of Tom Guest and Carl Fearns should be back from injury by then...

The reason I pointed you in that direction is because I think you'll find that in listing their EPS a lot of posters are stating their starters or separately giving their match day 22s. Given it is a current thread, the posters doing so there probably won't be inclined to do exactly the same in a concurrent one.

I'm going to look at selection from a slightly different perspective. Going to consider form alone, rather than experience e.t.c
1. Marler
2. Webber
3. Stevens
4. Robson
5. Garvey
6. Robshaw (c)
7. Wood
8. Waldrom
9. Simpson
10. Burns
11. Stegmann
12. Barritt
13. Farrell
14. Thompstone
15. Brown
Would never happen, but these are easily the form players in their positions at the moment.

I actually disagree with you form wingers robshaw.
Thompstone - He's a decent club player at best really. He played well against Racing but that really is all he's shown in about 2 years. I just don't believe he's playing as well as others.
Stegmann - He was good early in the season, albeit not as good as others, but has tailed off as of late and had a poor showing against Toulouse
Others are just playing better I believe

OK I was considering starting a Marler for England thread and poll - but could not believe anyone would actually want him in an international side at Loosehead. He has loads of skills, but propping aint among them.
Stevens - not even the form tighthead at his club.
finally form is temporary, class permanent. If you insist on picking a form team you have to change it for every single game.

LT, totally agree - Marler is immense in the loose, but still has a lot of technical skill to learn in the scrum - much too early (altho as a Scot, would be more than happy for you to play him)

To be fair to Adam Thompstone he has been recovering from a dislocated and fractured ankle for most of the past 2 years. He scored 9 tries in his break through season though and certainly looked like someone with potential!
