Greatest WWE Debut
This has probably been done before, but I cant remember seeing one in recent history, so discuss what was your favourite WWE debut of all time. It could be either because it was your favourite star, or because it was the most exciting or the storyline behind it.
One that sticks out in my memory was Kane. The build up with Paul Bearer tormenting The Undertaker set it up nicely, and then at Badd Blood when his music first hits and then this masked monster rips the cell door off and stands face to face with the phenom "Oh my God that must be Kane!", just brilliant.
Also Big Show had a pretty impressive debut coming up through the ring.
Discuss what your favourites were.

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
Chris Jericho for me.
The pop that he got when his name appears on the titantron is amazing, I got shivers.

Chris Jericho.
The countdown ends, the lights go out, the fireworks go off, the 15 ft high JERICHO appears on the Titantron, to crowd go wild.
Hasnt been a better debut since.

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
Brock Lesnar was one. Night after Wrestlemania 18. Came to the ring and just destroyed everybody. God I miss that guy.
Kane is another one.
I'm sure Y2J's debut will get a mention. Great segment with The Rock.
Quite enjoyed Goldberg's debut too, we knew it was coming then he comes to the ring with his usual entrance and tells The Rock "You're next!"

Whilst not setting the wrestling world on fire I quite enjoyed Val Venus' debut. He got the usual video package build up, then took on Too Cold Scorpio in his first match on Raw and won. Simple.
Carlito had a great debut too.

Tazz at The Rumble in MSG was an awesome debut.
The Nexus invasion on Raw was the best ive seen in recent years.

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
Not so obvious ones...
Kurt Angle in 1999.
Cena's debut against Kurt Angle was brilliant.
Eric Bischoff's just for the "holy s**t" factor of hugging Vince, and Booker delivering his "tell me I didn't just see that!?" line.

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
The Undertaker's was quite good. Mystery man in Ted Dibiase's Survivor Series team. Crowd stood in awe wondering what this new guy was all about. Gorilla Monsoon made a pretty random remark about drumsticks or some piece of meat when the Undertaker made his entrance.
Giant Gonzalez - I know he turned out pretty pants and that bodysuit (Jeez!) but to come into the Royal Rumble, standing way over 7ft tall and absolutely battering the Undertaker is definitely a memorable entrance.

Im not too sure, but if 123 Kids actual debut was when he beat Razor Ramon then that is pretty impressive.

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
Tazz's debut always sticks out in my mind when these topics come up. That was the first PPV I ever taped on channel 4 and the crowd popped so loud when Tazz made his debut in NYC.
The Nexus's debut again was something that completly shocked the wrestling world and was something I had never seen before.
Raven's debut was good. Came in from the crowd and got involved in the King's match against Tazz. I was in complete shock at the time, this was before I read spoilers!
The Radicals, when they were sat at ring side too

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
I think he was called 'The Lightening Kid' for that match and only became the 123 Kid because of that win over RazorShot 21 LCFC wrote:Im not too sure, but if 123 Kids actual debut was when he beat Razor Ramon then that is pretty impressive.
Ric Flair's debut in 91 was awesome

For me it is DDP, he had a massive pop and I still can't believe they managed to fluck it up after the entrance he made in the WWF

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
3 of the best debuts have been attacks on the Undertaker. The Giant Gonzalez, Kane and The Great Khali. All 3 of them came to the ring and beat the hell out of arguably the strongest wrestler in the business. The Giant Gonzalez and The Great Khali towered over the Undertaker, which is something you rarely see. Kane was as big as Taker, but it was the scary mask that made him so intimidating. There was a big build up to his debut aswell, and it certainly didn't disappoint when he tore down the cell door, and tombstones the Undertaker.
The Rocks debut was pretty cool aswell, when he was the only man to survive in his Survivor Series team, overcoming a 2v1 situation, you knew he was going to be a big star, when he got a push as big as that on his debut.
I loved Goldbergs debut in wwe aswell, to come out and attack the Rock on his first night was brilliant. As a fan of wwe/f and wcw, I had always wanted to see a clash between the Rock and Goldberg.

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
Although not WWE Scott Hall's outsider invasion debut was the one that sticks out for me....
Good shout for Tazz - He squashed Angle in that match, how times have changed!
Takers & Kane's were both well done.
Technically the Kid's win over Razor was his debut he jobbed for the previous few weeks on Raw prior to beating Razor.

Re: Greatest WWE Debut
Hall and Nash debuts in WCW is one I liked, that famous you want war speech by Hall is one of my favourite moments.
Brock Lesnar attacking everyone is another, he delivers a sweet spinebuster to Spike Dudley (I think) which puts him through a trash can.
Funniest debut is Santino vs Umaga, where Vince keeps asking him if he understands English.
