Selby v Simpson
What are your thoghts on this one tonight?
I think Selby caught Smith off guard last fight and Smith tried to fight fire with fire and ended up coming off second best. If he tries those same tactics against Simpson tonight I think he gets spanked and stopped in the championship rounds.

You can never tell when it comes to these new champions, sometimes it lifts them to new heights and does wonders for them in the ring. If you had asked me a few months ago I wouldn't have thought about Selby for a moment, Simpson all the way, but now...... tough call.

Thought this was on Sky!!
Seems that most people on the prediction league have gone for Selby based on his last fight.
It would be very hard to out work Simpson and he has got one of the best chins in the sport.

Simpson hasn't got many competitive fights left in him, he's had a good career though and should be proud.

Yeah, sounds like Simpson is wearing down if Selby took him out with the body shot. Fair play to Selby though, he's improving all the time and that is two very good wins on the spin.

Re: Selby v Simpson
I actually though Simpson looked better in the fight till the body shot, he seemed to be finding countering Selby not to hard and for my eyes seemed to be hurting his man on occassion. I hadn't really seen Selby on the other hand really trouble Simpson at any point in the fight until the final shot.
It could be Simpson is finally starting to show the efforts of a very good career or that it was just one of those shots. I'd still fancy Simpson in a rematch.

Hadn't seen it Dass sounds like he was doing ok. Still he's been losing a few good fights he should have won but is still competitive and earning a decent living. He's been screwed a few times aswell actually.

Re: Selby v Simpson
Giant I wasn't that impressed with Selby during the fight, he flattered to deceive in a lot of the rounds with his movement and flicking punches that were doing next to nothing. Seemed to be struggling to get to grips with Simpson and was being countered at times and just gave of the impression he wasn't comfortable at all.
The punch didn't look that great either but it obviously was as Simpson only just managed to get up before the count and was wincing before the ref just stopped it.
Simpson's style tends to get him involved in scrappy hard to judge affairs for me, meaning he'll sometimes get the nod others not. I personally had him winning both Smith fights and there's a very good case for him beating Appleby. I still think he's got more left and that was just one fo thsoe punches by Selby.
Simpson in a rematch I say.
