Lee Selby
Heard some news that a big announcement is on the way regarding Lee...not too sure when...but things are being ironed out and something is on the way.
Stay tuned.

Re: Lee Selby
Nah apparently Selby wanted the fight at catchweight (no pun intended) but Brook and Eddie said his demands were too muchcatchweight wrote:Mandatory challenger for Kell Brook after Bizier?
Carson Jones 3 or Dan Ionut Dan Ion rematch I heard
My money is on a Yo-Yo Dan rematch under the promotion name of "Unfinished Business" live on PPV

A Matthew Hatton rematch is the fight the fans want to see. Even David Haye's been getting emails about it.

Spoke with Chris Sanigar yesterday who was on about it but wouldn't go into detail.
I did mention about it being a rather large domestic clash and he said no?
Who knows.

I've spoken to him before - really nice guy.
Well, he's in with Haymon now so it could be something ginormous (Lomachenko, Santa Cruz, Mares?).

Re: Lee Selby
Mares has got Montiel next up hasn't he?
One of the other two would be nice or Russell jr. If it's massive and it's not Warrington then surely it has to be one of these?

Re: Lee Selby
LSC has Kiko. Mares has Montiel (but both are expected to win).
Russell Jr. would be a good match.

Yeah I'd love to see the Russell jr fight too.
Be interesting to see who the bookies would make favourite.

Warrington couldn't knock the froth off a cappuccino...absolutely mystifying as to why he's so popular

Nice humble kid, all-action style, local hero and he's tapped into Leeds United's following (as Hatton did with Man City).
I went to his last fight in Leeds and it was a cracking atmosphere - one of the best I've ever seen at a boxing match.

Watched his fight before last or maybe the one before that. Loads of people going crazy but the lad's bang average.hazharrison wrote:DAVE667 wrote:Warrington couldn't knock the froth off a cappuccino...absolutely mystifying as to why he's so popular

Re: Lee Selby
there was talk of loma selby last year, but given loma isn't pbc and the other's are you'd think big Al would want to keep it in the family.
I'd worry for selby against loma. He's a nice boxer but always seems to ship more leather than he needs to, even in fights he's winning handily. Russell would be a very good fight... i guess cuellar is the other option. Lesser name but 'unification' fight.

His career reminds me of Jamie McDonnell's (the way he keeps improving through the levels). Remains to be seen whether he can progress through world class.
