Hainan Classic
John Higgins dominated the final of the Hainan Classic in China, beating Jamie Cope 7-2 to take the title.
Cope won the opening frame with a break of 69, but from there on it was largely one-way traffic as Higgins raced into a 4-1 lead after the opening session.
When the players returned for the conclusion of the match Cope sparked hope of a revival with a break of 75 to close the gap to 4-2.
But the Scot then produced breaks of 69, 111 and 109 to complete the victory.
