Technically, it could match it for excitement... but some of the football and players are pretty drab. And the refereeing! I saw Aberdeen vs someone on ESPN (possibly Hibs) and the ref sent a guy off for a tackle that wasn't even a yellow!
Not that England/other nations can brag about our fine referees...

Half of them are tap ins!! He can finish some good ones off though! You'd think if he was destined for the top someone else would have bought him from Scunny but then again, he's 23 or something? Loads of time left!!

Anyone up for deals? I'm after a striker and fullback can use some of my players in deals or straight cash.
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Pre Season Season 2, Page 12
Y I.........I really don't know what to say. Most of those goals were tap-ins and one of them was a penalty! Who the hell classes a penalty as a way of showing someones striking ability????

Every team needs a goal poacher. That is exactly what Hooper is. He is still young, Id be very surprised if he isnt in the prem by next season.
22 goals in 36 last season
15 in 28 so far this season

I suppose YI could argue that he has the creativity on his wings or in the middle to give him those tap ins, and utilise the good positional sense he seems to hold.
However would Chiellini, Vermaelan et al, give him the room to get to these tap ins?

If my wingers beat the wingback marking them, leaving room to move in at goal, the CB will come out to meet my winger leaving the space for Hooper.sodhat wrote:TSC wrote:Half of them are tap ins!! To fall over the ball with no one near him!
Only joking, I think tap-in's reflect quite well on strikers, it shows a good instinct to find the space and goal scoring areas. If he moves away from Scotland to a higher standard and proves as deadly then he may be a snip for what you paid.

lol The refereeing can be dire at times, especially for teams playing against the OF. At the New Firm derby last weeked, DUFC should have had a penalty against Aberdeen AND the winner that Aberdeen scored from a throw-in (not directly from the throw-in!) should never have been theirs apparently.
Also, there was a St. Mirren player headbutting a Hibs player but got away with it and a Hearts player headbutting a Hibs player in the Edinburgh derby who got away with it at the time.

TBF you could stick RVP up front, the ball won't be getting to him that much whilst your goalie is picking it out of the back of your net.

CF has really improved his team. This time last season he was selling his best players and feeding Chellini the monies.

"Matt Busby summed it up perfectly, that you don't need to chase money at a club like Manchester United, it will eventually find you. If you're good enough, you will earn money and become rich playing for us, there's no doubt about it."
Bang on. I cant disagree with that one bit.

Did anyone actually bid £20m for Pereira or is that what Nadeem quoted.
His first post on Pereira this morning was that Pereira wasn't good enough and that he wanted to upgrade. He got a bit of interest in him and he went from that, to needing a better RB + cash for him, to finally quoting £20m.
I was only interested in him as a back-up RB

I would say Bonucci is on a par with Dawson at least, but if he discovered his form from last year, then he would be better than Dawson.
But he is not a £20m+ player that is for sure.

Bonucci has obviously improved since then
I think with all the money CF has to spend, spending £20M on Bonucci wasn't the best decision to make IMO, but then i'm not Juventus manager am I.

Really all depends on your tactics. I could not vote on them because you were in my league last season, but it was too airy-fairy. Simply did not have any substance apart from telling people to have a good game.
You teams have always been good, but you have let yourself down in the past. Sort that out and you should do well this season

Bonucci's form has dropped with Chiellini being shifted to LB.
But they supposed to be close to signing a new LB (can't remember who) and Chiellini should shift back. This should help Bonucci a lot
