Henson 50% through his Cardiff term
First topic message reminder :
With Gavin Henson making his first Blues start on Friday and then his 2nd and final start a week or so later, which club will he move onto next?

Could take a sabbatical to star in Willy Wonka 3?

I heard from a good sauce that when eh was at Saracens he sent his kit back to the club tailors with better measurements for his frame, as he wanted it more tight fitting!

I have to say its an ingenious bit of marketing by Fake Bake.
They show themselves to be against "orange" fake tan. They show that are above using the likes of Henson in ads and they get free advertising in the newspaper.

rugbydreamer wrote:oh yeah, that really isn't true. Was raised on the Scarlets' forum the other week. Unless it was for U16's, he's not played for us! (and I don't think he did even then!)
I always thought Newport RFC signed Charteris from Llanelli RFC before regional rugby. He certainly played for Newport RFC before the Dragons were created, and I'm pretty sure I heard he started at Llanelli.

Re: Henson 50% through his Cardiff term
If he ever played for Llanelli it would have been at U16, U18 at the latest.
He went to uni in Newport so has deffo been playing his rugby there since 18.
Certainly never featured for a senior Llanelli side as far as I'm aware.

As far as I knew Charteris started out at Llanelli RFC and moved to the Dragons region at the inception of regional rugby in order to obtain a regional contract. I'm assuming he would have then played for Newport RFC before stepping up to the regional team as he would have been what, between 18-21 at the time?
Would make sense!

He hasn't been involved with Llanelli since he was 18 (if he was with us at all!), so what 10 years ago? He's been with Newport and then the Dragons since then. (will double check it later but I'm pretty sure of that)

Ospreys > Dragons > Ospreys > Blues > Dragons,
so he is a 3 timer also.
