Henson draws in biggest Blues crowd ever.
First topic message reminder :
Must be at least 2,000 there tonight. That has got to be a record.
Henson's first touch in competitive rugby for 4 months leads to the worst pass ever. Go Gav!

Western,
The Opreys could do with a decent FB, Fussel was rubbish against the Sarries.

Say what you will of Andrews but he's looked good in the loose these last couple of weeks.

Not a bad return from henson. He looked like he had some decent pace actually and a couple of good touches. Not perfect but not poor. Looked a bit reticent to go into contact early on but not surprising I suppose. Looks like he might be a very good signing for the blues if he can stay injury free

Knowsit,
He had a very good game against Australia in the loose but thats a bonus, his priamry role and his bread and butter is at scrum and thats where he struggles.

Henson did well, and I will be interesting to see him at 12 next week (although Hewitt was hard done by today, and im assuming Roberts will be out for a while)
Halfpenny did well, he has looked a bit lost recently, but his set up for Cuthbert's try was first class
Cuthbert - 2 more tries to add to the list - try scoring machine
Sweeney did alright, but nothing that good - Parks has been very good recently
Laulaula mixed the brilliant with the awful, again - recently it has been all abysmal, but his pass for Cuthberts first try was sublime.
Good effort from the forwards, B.Davies did well again, as did Rush and Warburton.
I agree with the above comment - Andrews has been doing well in the loose - 2 interceptions in 3 games and some nice open field running - trying to beat Gethin's 'I am a back, honestly' competition.

Wales 606: I agree with most of your comments Parks kicks penalties but does little else whereas Sweeney gets the back line moving and tackles, sometimes not legal but never ducks out.

When we beat Edinburgh two weeks ago, Parks was great
When we lost to Edinburgh last week, Parks tried to pass, run and use the backline - and realised how rubbish they are...
Parks kicking is invaluable and the problems at the Blues are not solely his fault, although it was good to see some tries today.

Good game. Ref killed it a bit really, but he is a young guy who needs the experience.
Well played both teams. A lot of welsh players doing well.
I think Sweeney adds something to the blues for sure. Be good to see more of him and a canceled contract ASAP for the useless Ozzie....!

Or the backs outside Parks realised how rubbish he is. As good as his kicking is, our strength is our running game he just doesn't fit in with our style. He should have gone to Leicester or Exeter or something.

Re: Henson draws in biggest Blues crowd ever.
I thought the Dragons played some good rugby away from home, they could have had a few yellow card decisions go their way so the outcome would have been closer. The Dragons should have scored near the end but their duff buy journey man had both feet in touch. All the Welsh teams must invest in local talent, in may not be bad news with players going to France it keeps the wage bill down and leaves spaces for new and better players to come through e.g., Scarlets.

the dragons have some real class in their squad. pity they cant seem to do better.
very happy with the win, and it was a great match. the score board suggested a one sided contest but some of the dragons play was great.
henson. a better than expected return. glad he got 80 and a nice early, late tackle to welcome him back.

The wife of the Welsh regions and the Welsh teams official photographer died the other day, and the minutes silence was for her, she had been battling cancer and a lot of charity events involving ex-players had been going on for her cause in the run up to her death.mckay1402 wrote:two questions. why has Jenkins gone off and what was the minutes silence for?
I went to the match and enjoyed it despite going with a fellow Ospreys season ticket holder, who was supporting the Blues (CCFC Fan), while I went for the Dragons. I was the guy in the yellow top, the camera zoomed into when the Dragons got their first 3 points.

Oh, and the Blues record crowd was 22k+ last year at the CCS for the O's
Or around 60,000 for the HC Semi Final a few years ago.

Yup 1 sports vest, 2 hooded tops, 1 Addidas jacket, 1 ospreys water proof top, and a Dragons jersey.Cymroglan wrote:Alyn your mam made sure that you were wrapped up warm

Murrayfield 2007 was the coldest day ever. Worst match ever.
