Will have to follow the live scores I guess..

It's very nice to see a bit of action on Andy's part of the forum

Novak really needs to give his buddy some tips this week... Surely he can't let his old pal suffer like this?

Re: Andy Murray!
He must address the coaching problem like yesterday or he will really start to lose the plot.
OK everybody goes through a slump but a player of his quality to come from runner-up at the AO to losing 3 times in his first round matches after this , and two of which to virtually unknowns is not moving forward.
Perhaps Novak can give him a few pointers when playing doubles together!

Re: Andy Murray!
I've been away from my PC for a while......I can't believe what I've come back to.
Something is seriously wrong with Andy......I don't really know what to say.
Did anyone manage to watch the match anywhere.......what did he look like, what was his body language like?
I wonder where RJI went from 606, I would love to know what he's thinking right now and what he has to say about Andy.
I only became interested in tennis because of Andy Murray......it is all so very disappointing.
I didn't even get to see him play in this tournament......I don't know what's next for him.....I'll have to find out.
I picked him as the winner of the tournament, in the ATP comp
Big hugs to the Andy fans

Re: Andy Murray!
Evening guys. Its tough as fans to see shock results like this.
The thing is ... saying he's got to get the right team behind him is a no-brainer. Look at what Novak said recently about Vadja, that he knows him, that he gets him. It must have hurt Vadja when he flirted with Todd Martin, but the two of them are a good pair. I'm not even going to go on about Rafa and Uncle Toni. There was the period for Rafa of 11 months without a title, so they all go through it. With Rafa, all we kept reading is that he said that at some point it would come, so he kept his positive attitude going coupled with having his trusted team around him. I'm assuming a similar thing for Novak. A naturally in-built tough mentality along with the right team around them.
You can't have talent that takes you to Master series titles and GS finals for it all to disappear. It just can't. I don't really know what to say, but its got to be channeled somehow, and he has to be coached.

Hi Andy fans Wasn't around last night and only saw the score this morning and just wanted to say commiserations. It's really tough when your favourite player is going through a bad patch but keep the faith and I am sure he will get back to winning ways soon

Re: Andy Murray!
Reading through the post mortem in the dailys, Andy appears to take full responsibility for his performance and no issues towards his team. Maybe a little soul searching going on. Its a pity though as he could have gained some much needed ranking points this week. Although if Sod goes out next round I think Andy still goes to No4. I'm holding on to all the postitives I can and sharing them with fellow fans

Hi Toon Lass : )
Yes....it's an unbelievably bad run he's having at the moment.........it's so disappointing.
He is such a talented player........it is very frustrating being an Andy fan right now.........but I will continue to support him and hope he turns the corner real soon.

Re: Andy Murray!
Hi Everyone
A few months ago when Jonathon Ross interviewed Andy he was asked about a coach, interestingly Andy mentioned Lendl as a possibility.
Not long after he also started to wear the famous adidas diamond shirt that Lendl used to wear all those years ago.
I thought it was going to happen then, so to hear this today is really promising.
I think Andy should jump in right now and start on that elusive first slam.
Lendl should know what Andy is going through now as he's been there himself (lost his first four finals)
Do yourself a favour Andy, say yes and listen to the man

Don't know if this has been mentioned here yet Sol but just came across this on the BBC website. It seems that in the short term Andy will be working with a group of coaches (linked through his sponsor Adidas), including Darren Cahill.

Thanks for posting the link Chelsea......some positive comments from Andy there.
I agree with sportslover that it's a good move but are we now to assume that Lendl isn't going to be his coach?......if he was I'd have thought they'd have agreed on it by now.
I was really hoping it would be Lendl.......I think they'd be good together.

He wants his new coach for around 30+ weeks a year so it could rule out Lendl plus a few others because of various family commitments.
But never say never 8)
