Easier access to replies? Empty Easier access to replies?

Post by TipToes88 Thu 17 Mar 2011 - 10:59

I realise that I'm a bit of a noob and you may have already sorted this and I'm being stupid, but is it possible to get easier access to replies and watched threads? I get an email sent to my hotmail but once I log on to look for it I have to scan through the forums to find the thread I'm looking for.

sorry if this seem like a daft request

Doesn't the notification email actually contain a link to the topic that has been updated?

Yeah it comes with a link but I can only see my original comment. To see your relpies I have to log out and look again without being signed on. Not sure why

Could this be linked to the Caching problem some people seem to have?

Does this happen at work, or at home TipToes?

Okay I'm going to guess it is the cahing problem then.

You rwork will have a firewall in place that is copying the page to a cache folder and loading that copy rather than the fresh copy.

When you are signed in, multiple refreshes of the page should, hopefully, force it to load the fresh page. Alternatively the cached page will eventually remove itself and update.

The other option I would recommend is trying to delete the temporary Internet Files from your browsers Internet Options bar (although this may become a little tedious if you have to do this every time).

Not to worry TipToes.

Let me know if any of that works.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but can't you use the 'my posts' link to see which threads you have posted on?
