Writers required

Afternoon all.

Hopefully you are all enjoying the 606v2 experience on these boards but the admin team has some great ambitions for the new year. On that note, we are looking to get some feature writers on board for sporting events - people who can attend games and/or report on events.

If you are interested in becoming an official member of the 606v2 writing team, please let me know - we might be able to sort you out with tickets for matches etc

At this stage, we are just collating names, along with the teams and events you might want to cover.

We cant promise anything but why not have high ambitions!

Will you be doing this for other sports too? I will try and lend a hand with the rugby if I can and will do some on other sports if you like.

Munster/Ireland or any provinces.

If you anyone has an interest in any other sports, can you give details please - actually scrap that - I will add it to the OP and global it!

Count me in for any golf, Manchester united games or F1 events.

I would also be willing to do detailed write up's on golf courses with pictures and analysis of the experience and architecture of the course.

What level of games are you looking at ? Grass-roots (Eg Cardiff & District) ? National League Level (Eg - WRU Division 4 East) ? PRO12 ? HEC ? 6 Nations ?

I am specifically looking for people who would like to attend paying events.

There is nothing stopping anyone writing articles at the moment anyway but I am trying to get a press team together for pro events (so Pro12 etc)

Count me in, more than happy to do the reports on the cricket, England and Lancashire.

I'd be up for doing this, any golf or snooker in England, and cricket for Kent/England

you already know my answer to this, will try and get you team/match details asap.

I think some sports would struggle. E.g Tennis which is played all around the world. I think some writers would need to be given benefit of the doubt when not attending events.

Just to clarify, we cannot pay for you to write articles or get to events but we might be able to get tickets sorted if you can get to the venue yourself.

Feel free to review events from the TV as well if you like!

I'd be able to review all the England games as they're usually on TV, can get to most Lancashire games as well.

I go to quite a few as a 'neutral' (I'm an O's follower )
Last season I went to Blues v Scarlets (Magners , as was), Leinster v Toulouse (HEC Semi), Leinster v Saints (HEC Final - but then , in every final a Welshman is a neutral; ).
Dragons v Russia (pre-season).
This season - Scarlets v Munster (HEC & the return), Blues v Edinburgh (HEC)

So if you wanted a two-eyed, unbiased report on a game and I was going I'd be happy to help out

Yeah! I could have flown to Australia, New Zealand and Argentina for free. Stayed in top class accommodation, eat and drink for free and all I had to do was talk aout my favourite sport.

Now I have to sit at home, pay for my own beer and biltong talk about rugby.

What a dread.

I'll chuck my metaphorical hat into the ring for that one. I'd do Scarlets, Ospreys, even Blues or Dragons matches, Wales matches and anything else you want covered in South Wales.

Me please, any professional Football in England.

Couldn't commit to doing anything on a regular basis but happy to cover some major sporting events in Scotland (stop laughing everyone).

i could write up caerphilly's latest hammering or anything local that doesnt normaly get covered, unless you want to bung me a ticket for the MS or the schitty schtadium but i expect lots of people would like to do those matches.

I can do football in around the london area + Watford/Wycombe etc

F1 mainly watch on tele so can write about that if needed

I'm up for it if possible but as maestegmafia alluded to i am also interested to know a bit more about what this entails. But i love tennis, footy, rugby, cricket and cycling with olympic stuff as well.
I'm a young budding journalist and if given the chance to do this it wud be great experience.

I will be happy to cover the Madrid Masters Tennis tournament.

If that shameful Prince of Monaco hadn't scaremongered about ETA I could've covered the Olympics this year, although Spain would've surely defaulted by now if he had kept his mouth shut.

I can cover the Kings Cup quarter final between Real Madrid and Barcelona for the return leg.

Finally, may I put my name down for the 2015 Rugby World Cup as I expect to be there for some of the NZ games and any tickets for the final would be greatly appreciated.

I go to all Newcastle games home and away.

I'm interested (rugby mainly, but watch other sports). Regularly go to matches.

I'm quite interested in this, I've an interest in watching most sports - saying that my knowledge on a lot of them might not fill the back of a stamp!
