Help required.
Hi guys, (and gals)
I want to start publishing a couple of articles on the v2 Journal about specific wrestlers.
There are about 4 people I would really like to get articles on, looking back at their careers, highs, lows and film careers (where applicable). Would anyone like to give it a go?
The people who I think would make for interesting articles are:
Roddy Piper (top of my list)
Hulk Hogan
Randy Savage
TUW
If anyone fancies doing a bit of research and giving it a go, it would be greatly appreciated! Drop me a PM

Re: Help required.
I would say Gaffer or Tart are the men for this, I know Gaffers knowledge on Piper and Savage is second to none.

If you are doing wrestlers with a good background story and have been doing notable things after leaving the ring, can I also suggest Jesse Ventura

I wouldn't be able to write on these as they are before my time. I would love to read one on TUW though as I'm enjoying reading the thread about him and all I've ever seen of him is his match against Hogan and the squash against HHH

I'd say Warrior was my mastermind specialist subject although I'm sure there is a few, what exactly is it you're looking for? I could do Piper if there is a few Warrior candidates

I would say you should watch his WM7 match with Savage but it might be better. About him first, the little things in that match made it great for me, Warrior was insane and used to talk to the Gods, during his match with Savage he starts talking to The Gods via his hands, this leads us to think that for the first time ever he begins doubting himself and is going to just give up and walk away, the Psychology behind it was tremendous, without knowing his manerisms though it might not make sense

To answer this (and for anyone else wanting to write something) the real answer is, I don't mind.
Pick one of them and choose an angle. Here is a few suggestions:
Piper:
His film career and how he was the first WWE star to actually make a film that didnt totally suck (They Live)! You could look at WWE stars in general in Hollywood but use the angle of the fact that his character in They Live was believably tough, unlike the cartoon characters the other wrestlers played.
His character of "rowdy" and how he was the forged the way for other wrestler talk segments (cutting edge, carlitos cabana etc)
Why he should have won the big one but never did.
TUW:
How his short wrestling career actually helped him become the legend he is.
How he is one of the few wrestlers that ever got the better of McMahon (and the industry as a whole)
How the WWE can twist history if you are not in bed with them (the destruction of TUW etc) but how Brett bent over for this not to happen.
Whether he was over/ under rated.
How he would have been main eventing today if he was at his peak due to him having all the attributes that Vince loves (big muscley man!) - could the same be said of the other stars of that era (Greg Valentine, Anvil, Ted dibiase etc)
Just few suggestions but make it what you will!
