Mancini - biggest hypocrite in football since....
A few days after giving both barrels to Wayne Rooney for appealing Kompany's tackle (and I say appeal, as I only saw him shouting, arms outstretched, not waving a card), which itself was only a few days after Mancini bounced around on the touchline waving an imaginary card, Mancini was back the other night gesticulating widly, bounding around the touchline waving for a red card against the poor sap that confused football and volleyball all of a sudden.
Is Mancini the biggest hypocrite in football today? Who's worse now and in the past??
For a man with the easiest job in the world, just playing real life Championship Manager and picking up an absolute mint in return, he does come across as quite a Tinkywinky.

He's Italian, and they wave card's and generally cheat all the time, it's in their nature.

People do things in the heat of the moment...
Kompany sent off basically by Rooney and a weak referee..who got a nice smile and back slap off Alex..Spirit is always much beter than letter..and long should it be so...
Silva had a dead on penalty against Chelsea..2-0 game is over..
Johnson's tackle is worse than kompany's - nothing..
How can anybody get a yellow for that handball..the other night!!
Don't like card waving...it's not just a foreign thing!!
But he has a right to be upset...
Guess their are refs out there who want to keep it Chelsea-Man Utd..all the time..
Everybody is a hypocrite.......

Most people, not just footballers, are hypocrites one way or another, they just don't see their own hypocrisy, they only see it in others.

He's not really an hypocrite, it's just how he is. He knows his player was rightly sent off but put's the blame on Wayne Rooney, when he should be speaking to his own player for trying to break Nani's leg.
He would have probably made the same gesture had Kompany not been sent off. Even if his club wins the league this season, they do not deserve any respect at all.

Kompany was only trying to, and did win the ball clean and fairly. It was the referee who hadn't got a clue what football is all about.

erm it appears you are talking about a different challenge. If Nani had not been nimble, his leg would've been broken. Probably if that had happened it would've been said that he still shouldn't have been sent off!

Yeh, I had it in my mind as the equivalent of Fergie complaining about added time/late goals or Wenger doing his usual magic trick of never seeing any offence by his own player but always picking up on an opposition players indiscretion.

Dealing with your points in turn:
1. The sending off had nothing to do with Rooney or the ref (other than the physical act of issuing the card) it was a bad challenge and there are dozens of equivalent examples of players getting sent of for the same in the last couple of seasons as the rules/their interpretation has really been tightened.
2. Didn't see it so would be unfair to common.
3. Only seen 1 maybe 2 replays and from what I've seen I disagree. Though I would probably have sent him off too (in today's climate).
4. Difficult question, I would've said red card, but the Gary Cahil over-turn decision set quite a precedent on what constitutes a goal scoring opportunity. On that basis it seems you have to be able to score within a few strides and a couple of touches of the ball, any more is too much uncertainty and therefore the player has to be punished for only the basic offence - which was a yellow card in this instance.
Not much to say on their rest.......

1. How do you know!!...Johnson's was a worse challenge..consensus agrees...
2. Fair enough..
3. "Only seen 1 maybe 2"..........end of argument..
4. Red end of...last man and a deliberate handball...
"Not much to say on the rest!!!" ...Think you've said enough!!

1. How do I know?? The ref's decision was correct, it should've happened with or without influence from Rooney.

3. Watched it again, still think both were red cards and that Kompnay's was at least as bad and, had Nani not been so agile and quick-reactioned, could've been a lot lot worse.
4. Not end of. And you can't ignore judicial precedent, it's pretty central to modern law. If a player is tripped by the last man on the edge of the box (or that last man punches the ball away, say) then that clearly stops a goal scoring opportunity as the player would have a) Had the ball under immediate control; and b) would immediately have shot, i.e. taken the opportunity. When something happens on the half way line all the becomes much more uncertain. It is no more a goal scoring opportunity than any other foul. 'Last man' isn't the test, it's goal scoring opportunity, sometimes they coincide, sometimes they do not. The Cahill decision confirmed this.

Where in the rules does it state last man means a red card. It is like the mythical two-footed challenge means a red card. Neither are true.

He wouldn't have reacted waving his hand if Rooney was doing it to his players in the training cup, which begs the question, why don't you ever blame Rooney? He's such an average player who's too scared to try himself in Spain or Italy.
