I would put new NRL clubs in Perth and the Central Coast, but I'm not David Gallop.

Perth would be a disaster....the locals aren’t interested enough in League to make it viable, see the Western Reds. AFL rules the roost over that way and Union has a bigger foothold due to the high SA/kiwi expat numbers and the presence of a S15 team....

Can see Queensland getting another club, along with Central Coast. Perth far to much of a risk.

I think that a team from WA will be in the NRL when the new expansion teams are annouced, and one of the the reasons being a NRL/ARL academy has just been set up in Perth. Ireally hope that a new NRL team is put on the Central coast as well.

Ideally i agree with you George, trouble is after the fiasco of the SL, would the NRL give time for them to grow, or would they want immediate results after say a season? If they give them time to grow then yes in my opinion they are the ideal places. If immediate then no.

It wouldn't be the first time a mining magnate made a boo-boo backing a sports team... just look at the Gold Coast United team with Clive Palmer.

Also, anything which has Benny Elias associated with it is sure to fail - he's a bit 'suspect' - not to mention a jinx.
