glad to see whitten in the centres as i fell he has really earned his spot, not so sure about the humphreys call as he has been so up and down recently, but i suppose why mess about with a formula that has got us this far, just hope marshy gets a good run out off the bench, i dont know why paddy Mac isnt on the bench as he seem to have recovered from injury and would have been a safer option than Macklin, probably due to lack of game time.
i really think we can win this one, its going to take everything we have but these boys are on fire at the moment and are on the verge of doing something really special for ulster rugby!
not sure of the Clermont line up yet but i will update this topic when it is released!

Re: Ulster Vs Clermont teams
Minimum capacity rules also apply. Must be >20K I think. Not sure Windsor is that big.

From Wiki
"The stadium holds 24,734, but is currently restricted to 12,342 under safety legislation, with an increase to 12,950 permitted for international matches utilising temporary seating. At present the ground has only three sides. [2] For most Linfield home games only the South Stand and Kop stand are opened. The North Stand is usually given to away supporters, and will be re-roofed for the 2010–11 season."
Sounds like a kip

No.
Just....NO!
Rodders,
I'm pretty sure that last year they specified a date by which you had to have joined the Supporters thing to get priority on buying tickets for the quarter. Like probably the final pool game or something.
Just check!
Edit.
The "No!"s where about Windsor, not Lansdowne!

Re: Ulster Vs Clermont teams
Mrs P you are right there was a cut off date - cant remeber when it was though
Windsor would be such a anti-climax.
Its a dump
Anyone why give up the revenue stream of an extra 30,000 people - it would be madness

Er no...just shows where he is in the thinking. At the weekend he was a little underpowered against the Clermont wingers.

Ulster's gents being the exceptions of course!
So, who's the nicest to deal with then?
Thierry Dusatoir by a country mile, absolute gent.
Glad to hear Dusautoir is such a good bloke. He is the French McCaw, in how he leads by example and carries his team on his shoulders at times. Honestly he is one of the finest captains in world rugby ever, and a great example to any aspiring player, just like McCaw.
Yeah, he does some coaching with the youth teams in the area and is apparently very good. His technique in the tackle is amazing because when you meet him, he is quite small compared to other players but he hits like a train and is back to his feet within seconds ready for the next tackle. I remember watching a league game earlier this year and he made three out of four tackles in a row, it was sensational play and stopped a try.

Yeah he was brushed aside easily enough in the first few minutes which seemed to hit his confidence a little unfortunately, but overall I though he did well enough.

For a lad not yet 21 he did okay considering he was covering Sivivatu!

Re: Ulster Vs Clermont teams
I thought Gilroy was excellent given the context of the players he was up against. The Clermont wingers are huge.
But for a timely ankle tap he would have scored a great try.

The future looks bright for Irish wingers anyway - Zebo/Gilroy partnership in the future?
