What's wrong with Heads racquets?
When I saw Bagdhatis yesterday smash 4 racquets in 25 seconds I felt there was more than the frustration of losing a set he should have won. The racquets were painted but we know he had a contract with Head before and we coudl recognise an Head under the blue paint.
Bagdhatis was upset to lose that set but may have been furious to have lost his Head contract too and may have used that occasion to avenge himself on Head dropping him as a star player. Since I realised that his opponent, Wawrinka, was also a Head racquet user in 2011 and had been for a long time. Yet Wawrinka just moved to Yonex in 2012 and played just 2 matches with it before the AO. Clearly he was not happy with his contract either or Head wanted to cut those lower ranked players.
Finally what do I notice watching a bit of the Fed Karlo match? another painted racquet!...and guess what another Head. Another player being dropped off by Head.
The reason is probably simple, WIth Djokovic as number 1 and Murray closing in at he top, Head feels they have the 2 best prospects and have paid them fortunes to endorse their equipment. They also secured Sharapova last year....leaving probably less money for the lower ranked players.

Ivo's didnt even have the Head logo on the strings. Baghdatis raquets looked like toys, blue and nothing on them. Still hes made nearly $5M prize money and probably as much on sponsorships, I find it silly to behave like that, he suddenly can't afford then?

These deals seem so expensive. I keep thinking about Donnay and Borg.

Of course. That's the point. They do not want to advertise they are with Head...until they get a deal with Head. They paint the racquet for that purpose and that's why they look like toys.

I haven't watched many of the Murray matches; has Lendl been in the players box?

Frew Macmillan and Simon reed are so annoying.
Yesterday Reed suggested that Rafa might be the best volleyer on the tour
What an imbecile.
Frew replied, no, I think it's Murray
It's like these guys know nothing about the general tour. Plus they are so dull to listen to. Frew has the most boring, monotonous voice ever and he's constantly going on about how Roger doesn't have a very good overhead smash such that whenever Roger hits an overhead winner he proceeds to mention this supposed fact and thus express his surprise that Roger managed to hit a winner off the smash. Fed has one of the best smashes on tour probably the best ever BH overhead.

Murray vs Tsonga will be v interesting.
Novak could reach the finals losing the fewest games ever at this rate.

Baghdatis was obviously showing his Greek fans the antidote of smashing plates

I notice that they have Gasquet advertising their product, what has Gasquet achieved the last few years that Baghy hasn't?
