Guess your CB's didn't know how to mark zonally or take the ball of the strikers.
Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 16
Tactics certainly help but it has to balanced to the footballers given the tactics to.
Give Johnny Evans the perfect tactics to deal with Messi doesn't then mean Messi isn't going to still run rings around him.

It's always a tale of two sides. For example, I put forward some fairly directive instructions for Lugano to stop van Persie...but he scored two still.
It's all in interpretation, and the tactics of the other guy to his strikers.

CF's tactics were basically 'get the ball to the strikers'. It's probably the usual old chestnut of 'Oooh look, he's playing, he'll score'.
Still, unbeaten.

Re: Furious Football Association © : HomePage Season 2, Page 16
Atletico told their defence for Dominguez to mark Falcao and keep a flat back line
I told Falcao to stay on the shoulder of Mertesacker and then beat the offside trap.
So some people would read that as Dominguez marking Falcao nullifying him out of the game.
Some would read it as Falcao losing Dominguez, then beating Mertesacker for speed.
Some would just think Falcao>>>either of them anyway.

Still looking to trim my squad down so I have some bargain basement fringe players available, including some U21s who will be useful for the domestic cup next week

Everton 1-0 Schalke
With the creative midfield behind him Rhodes show he is upto the job by netting a brace, Everton3 AMs dominate the game and outclass there opponants, Everton Argintian pairing at CBcontain for the most part any Schalke attacks but a late goalgive Schalke a conolation.
A close match but both defenses were hard to breach.
Everton have a more creative streak, and will get chances. I don't think Rhodes is necessarily ready to take on Howedes and Djourou alone however so the goals come from behind. Schalke are a good side, but I think they are weak in midfield, and Zaha struggles on the wing in a straight 4-4-2.
4 changes and quite an inexperienced at this level attack left Everton bossed out of the game. The muscle of Schalke proved the key. Set piece set up the header for Howedes to get the win.
Everton were well set-up defensively with the two DMs protecting the back four. The attacking midfield 3 were fluid and made themselves difficult to pick up, which occupied Capoue and all game and also meant Dzagoev was defending more than attacking. However Rhodes made his debut against 2 experienced CBs and went in with no instruction other than to be on the end of crosses and passes, so he looked a little in need of help and guidance. Coulibaly replaced him midway through the second half and was asked to outmuscle the defenders, which at 5’ 7” was always going to be difficult to do against Howedes and Djorou.
quite a dull affair with neither team doing anything to get the crowd going.
Valencia 1-3 Roma
Close game but i don’t see Valcenia creating much v a veery impressive roma team, roma class a attacking quality nick them a goaland the win.
One sided match with Roma easing to victory. Valencia played good but their defence was all ova da place and needs time to gel.
Valencia have a powerful strike force and with good wingers are value for a goal. Roma as always have width and the ability to create chances and have enough to break down a resolute looking Valencia. Marin particularly picks on Heinze and gives him a tough time.
Roma covered every base, tactics pretty much spot on with the set up and players involved, only ever one winner in it.
Hard to argue anything in Valencia’s favour here. They were starting with a much weaker team than Roma and I did not see anything that was specifically designed to neutralise the threat from the Roma attack. Getting the ball wide and getting crosses in was a good tactic, but Roma saw it coming and neutralised it. Most success was on the Valencia right when Maxwell pushed on and Pienaar got a bit more space, but otherwise a fairly one sided win.
Romas over all quality saw them win this quite convincingly.
Juventus 2-2 Leverkusen
Juves wingers had a lot of success and got a lot of balls into the box which the strikers converted, mean while juve kept strong st the back isolating leverkusens lone striker, practicly nullifying all Leverkusen attacks.
I feel Juventus had too much in attack for the leverkuzen defence too handle.
Juventus have trouble shackling the Leverkusen full backs and wingers and Malouda and Barnetta don't offer enough support. Lopez and Huntelaar are a good partnership, but I think they lacked some midfield support, and with Matuidi shielding the defence found themselves outnumbered in the middle.
Don’t see much apart from Remy & Gamiero as a threat to the Juve back line and the strike partnership up front would be too strong for a side debuting a new centre back.
I found it very difficult to separate the two teams today and I think both are serious contenders. Juventus look very well balanced and make up for the lack of numbers in the central positions by having two combative midfielders, and then attacking down the flanks. Crosses in from wide suit Lisandro, but not sure it is playing to Huntelaar’s strengths. I could see Juve struggling against a team who tactically try to cut of supply to the wingers. Leverkusen are also well set-up with good wingers and a good striker causing a lot of problems to the Juve defence. They have the side, but need a little more tactical instruction on how they deal with the opposition’s threat to give them that edge. I can see both teams pushing Roma very close.
The extra man in midfield gave BL a little more to offer and at times dominated possession and at times over ran the Juventus midfield.

I wouldn't worry, you could spend 3 days writing tactics and people still wouldn't bother reading them properly!

If the tactics weren't needed to be altered for the player then it'd be silly to entirely re-write them (as I did for every game last season). I altered them completely for some players based upon who they were up against and I entirely dropped the one touch and move approach that didn't win favour the previous week.

In the quiz section mainly, CF you have the 2nd highest post tally on the entire site, it's hardly signs of a guy who's working 12 hours day.
Half an hour more on your tactics a week and you could stand a good chance of winning the league, it's not picking on you but trying to help!
