Harry Redknapp
If Harry is found guilty, what sentence is likely for this?

It will be interesting to see if any charge has an effect on his selection as England manager.

Why would Harry want to manage a mediocre national team when he can stay at Tottenham for as long as he wants??

Have to agree, taking the England job surely Harry is on a loser. Next big thing after the Euro`s 2012 were England have a very outside chance of winning.. is the World cup in Brazil 2014 were England have no chance of winning. There after it will be France 2016.. Harry might be just out of jail to take the job.Aged 69 with England still having no chance of winning

I presume a misguided sense of patriotism and national pride. Tottenham and Redknapp seem to be trying to down play the England job at the moment, but Redknapp has said in the past that if the FA came calling he doesn't think he would be able to say no.

So Harry can't write a letter but he wrote a column in The Sun...
Says more about The Sun than anything else.

Re: Harry Redknapp
Lester Piggott served a year of a 3 year sentence for tax evasion but the amount in that case was 3 million compared to 190k in Redknapps case so I doubt it will end up in a jail sentence.lorus59 wrote:If Harry is found guilty, what sentence is likely for this?
I really can't believe it's true though seeing as the tax due was 30k which to someone who earns millions every year is nothing really. Why would he take the chance for the sake of 3% of his annual salary especially as the 190k was supposed to be a bonus from the sale of Crouch

Either way, the more the press dig into him, the more his England chances recede.

Re: Harry Redknapp
From what we've seen and heard so far, it appears Harry is severely retarded, at least that's the phrase I'd use about someone who claims they can't read or write properly, has no idea about 'figures' and doesn't even know that they've not been paid for a job they've been doing for 18 months.
As for the rest that's come up, how much of of joke is it that managers aren't just paid by the million, but they also get a sizeable cut of any transfer deals, is it any wonder Pompey are bust and many other clubs are close to the edge?

Re: Harry Redknapp
he will probably get a severe fine and a slap on the wrist..
however i think it will affect his chances of getting the england job.

Imagine Harry trying to read out the Crystal Palace player Kagisho Dikgacoi > http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTCidGEisLj8lQBN0yt9Fu_oYeOe2LhAX1tpp5xjhOsuoC_v3de

He will not be going to jail because we all know that it is one rule for famous rich people and another rule for the general public.
