Shall We All Support Saracens?

Just wondering if all the English fans will be supporting Saracens in the HC now that all the other clubs are out of it?

I know they've had their detractors in the past and that there have been some... interesting management and selections decisions, but the team now boasts plenty of EQP players with 8 split across the EPS and Saxons.

Their quarter final is up against Clermont at home at Vicarage Road, this is a game which is definitely winnable for them and after that it's just one more match before a Twickenham final, I don't think it's going too far to say they're in with a good shout at lifting the trophy. I for one will be cheering them on.

I won't I am supporting Ulster

I will but only because away to Saracens is an easier game than away to Clermont for Leinster

I'll be supporting the Blues, though I like the Ospreys

As with any English team, with maybe the exception of a certain Somerset based side, I shall be supporting them.

The Blues are supposed to be my region but they are my least favoured region but I still will support them, I believe they have no chance.

I want Sarries to win, because an away semi final to Clermont is about as tough as it could get for Leinster. Not that Sarries in England would be easy mind.

I will be. Most of the negative stuff with them was before anything even happened (other than trying to get rid of all the average players they had). They've got a solid core of English players strengthened by an average number of NEQ players. And they keep bringing in more English players (and academy is doing well).

Some suggest they're a South African feeder team but since their South African players keep playing for England (Barritt and Botha) surely they're not doing a very good job.

Agree with that Thunor, I think they're a very different team to how they're portrayed by some people (media and here). And if/when they do open up they have a surprisingly lethal running game which is mainly produced by English players.

One of the most impressive things aboutt he team is their tempriment in big games, I am praying the players chosen bring that to the EPS.

Or Big Farrell. Lancasters all about the pride and grass roots (which sounds like a similar ethos as Sarries are claiming). You can see why he's pulled in Farrell. My worry is there have been some abject performances from the Saxons in the last few years. Hopefully some of that is down to Lancaster being forced to play certain players and in a certain way. After all, wan't it Mallinder and West who were in charge when the Saxons were on fire?

Despite the fact they are capable of playing a more more exciting style of rugby than they choice to, yes definitely.

My mums family are all from Enniskillen, so Ulster has long since had my allegiance after London Irish.

Edinburgh, Leinster, Munster, Saracens for me. Although I won't be shedding any tears if any of the other teams go through.

Yes, although a Saints fan I have no major issues with Saracens other than I wish they would play more expansive rugby sometimes, instead of just giving us glimpses of what they are capable of. I truly hope they go on to win this years competition.

After that I will be supporting any of the other British & Irish teams. Have enjoyed watching Ulster this year but wouldn't be upset if Leinster progress at their expense. As always I will support any British & Irish teams when playing against French sides.

Its getting boring seeing Leinster, Munster and Toulouse winning it year after year.

Well Edinburgh are sure to put Toulouse out so I think you can scrub them off the list

Glaws already showed how to beat them, all Edinburgh have to do is play some expansive rugby, front up defensively and allow their forwards to dictate the pace of the game.

Key requirement for Edinburgh is for Chunk, Ford and Cross to get through the 6N unscathed!
