Who do you support and why?
I'm a Bath man so it was an easy choice; I have no reason to support anyone else.
Sorry but I couldn't fit all the teams in if you support someone else then say so.
It is a multiple choice, but try and stick to your teams (eg if you're a Newport man/lady then by all means vote for both Newport and the Dragons) Thought it would be interesting to see who has the most support.
I'm in a better mood today its Friday yippee.

Re: Who do you support and why?
I'm from Dublin. It is Mary's on to Leinster because they are the nearest/local teams. After that I will cheer on the other Irish provinces. Also gone for Treviso as they always give it a go, have some good young kids coming through and I feel they play the game the right way. (a bit getting in at the ground floor possibly)

Saracens have always been my local team. First when they were based in Enfield, now in Hertfordshire.
I have a soft spot for Bedford though and are the Championship side I would like to do well.

Re: Who do you support and why?
From the Glens of Antrim, so has to be Ulster, also support at AIB club level Ballymena. In Jeff would follow the results for London Irish, due to the historic Irish connection, but couldn't say I support them. In Top 14 don't have anyone but look out for Stade Francais as at Ulster we've built up a bit of a rivalery with them, (I wonder do they feel the same?)
As an aside we've played Airoini more times than anyone else and by the end of this year even more so, 8 times to everyone else's 4, I wonder do they feel a little bit of a rivaly build up and want to beat us more than anyone else? As having a play 8 lost 8 might hurt there pride.

Local (WRU National Div 6 Central) - Cardiff Saracens - Lived in Cardiff from 1986 to 2001, got invloved with the club and am still involved (Chairman) though I know live 12 miles away
Old Style 'Big' Club (WRU National Premiership) - Swansea. Should be Llanelli, as I come from Pembrokeshire, but always liked the way Swansea play
Regional (Pro12) - Ospreys - used to follow Celtic Warriors as I live/lived in what was their catchment area when Wales went 'regional'. Went on to support Ospreys as the others are just 'Super Clubs'

Llanelli as they are who I've supported for as long as I remember, and the Scarlets as they are the region in which I was born and raised, even if I don't live there anymore.

Tigers. I was born in Leicester, raised in Leicestershire (near Loughborough), the man who introduced me to rugby (friend of the family) aged 6 was a die hard Tigers fan and season ticket holder. Not to mention whilst playing mini rugby for Loughborough various Tigers squad players used to turn up at tournaments and have a chat to us.

Re: Who do you support and why?
I primarily support Newcastle due to geography and family ties. I grew up in the heart of rugby league country and away trips to see the Falcons were fun times.
I also take an interest in the other Northern teams.

Follow London Irish, due to the 'Irish' connection, more so in days gone by, (Geoghegan, Staples, Halpin, Bishop, Humphries, Henderson, etc).

I'm a Swansea boy.
Saw the Whites down at St Helens smash an Aberavon side when I was 6-7, fell in love with them.
Ospreys is just a natural thing since.

Re: Who do you support and why?
I have always loved rugby, but lived in kent from the age of 7, with no prem team to support. Would never support a London team and whilst mates played for Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Esher and Blackheath and I watched them, I wouldn't call myself a supporter.
6 years ago I moved to Bath and finally lived in a place with a pro team. Have supported them ever since, more and more fanatically each year, especially after working for 4 years in the main rugby pub in town and socialising with fan stalwarts and st holders

See Penfro buys into the One True Region nonsense
Dragons. From what used to be Gwent. Flirted with the Ospreys as my dad is a Neath lad. Didn't enjoy going to the Liberty one bit really. Rodney Parade is a much better atmosphere.

I'm from Llanelli and my dad was big on rugby and used to take me down Stradey all the time when I was 6 onwards - after seeing Ieuan Evans, Mooney and the Quinells I was hooked. And have an amazing memory of Llanelli beating the Wallabies

Ulster. I am from Ulster! That's the short answer. If you have no interest in the long answer, skip the rest of this post
My dad took me along with him to rugby matches at Ravenhill when I was quite young. I remember he took me to part of a Sevens tournament when I was little, and also to a Schools Cup Final (his alma mater, Campbell College, were apparently hammered- I'm too young to recall!). There were far less interprovincial games in those days, but when the provinces started up in a big way when the game went pro we went to a lot of those as well. Then, when I was 10, he took me to all the big games in Ulsters European Cup run including the semi-final and final.
I'd say when David Humphreys went screaming past us on the promenade to score a wonderful try against Stade in the semi-final, that was me set for life
My Dad and I now go to all Ulsters home games together, we both have season tickets on the Promenade

That is the best response to this post. I am an old Ulsterman and my reasons for supporting Ulster are based on "old rugby".

Glasgow. Am from Ayrshire so it is the nearest pro team to me but also because I studied in Glasgow, went there as a child, love the people in it, spent some of my most formative years there and have the benefit of realising that it is God's own country.

Re: Who do you support and why?
I checked the boxes for Gloucester (visited there once and liked the area), Munster (distant relatives there...but some also up in Ulster) and Newport (don't know why...but we have a seaside suburb named after it which has a decent beach and serves good fish & chips!)
Actually, I'm very confused with all the changes to Welsh rugby teams/franchises... if anyone can enlighten me I'd appreciate.
Over here I support the Gordon Stags in the Shute Shield - they're having a bad year. Also have a soft spot for Sydney University (who have done well) and the Manly Marlins (birthplace). Not a huge fan of the Waratahs - in fact I vowed I will never go to another match after an awful performance a few years back.
Have family in NZ also... Canterbury mostly but don't mind if they get beaten by Otago or Southland.
My other teams: for NRL (Manly-Warringah) and AFL (Sydney Swans now... and formerly Hawthorn Hawks)

Wasps. Because when I was growing up I lived in Clacton - Wasps used to play out of Sudbury so I believed they were the nearest big team. Didn't realise that the Sudbury was in Middlesex, not Essex but I was only 8... Been a Wasps fan ever since.
