Nadal's challenges
Tennis fraternity is divided into two categories - rafa fans and not rafa fans. There must be a reason for this bilateral divide or rather reasons. One reason I can think of is the gamesmanship of Nadal. In the match against Djoko, there was a challenge by Nadal on his own serve to be called out because he was hit by a return winner.
My question to all of you who have watched that match that is it in the spirit of the game to go for such challenges. Another thing which has been seen is Rafa's tendency to challenge after 20 seconds. Nadal has been known for his time wasting tactics since he has started playing tours. This unsavoury unsportsmanlike behaviour is another feather in his cap.
There were two or three instances in the whole match where Djoker was visibly very upset with Nadal's late challenges. I know that discussing this on tennis forum is not going to make any difference but it will be interesting to see as what does the majority think about rafa's challenges.

Amrita, you were better on MTL only, as on 606 your logical ability is going down the hill. After reading some of your comments it seems like Nadal's recent decline has taken its toll on you.
I just hope that this shock will not be too much for you.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

MTL but stratocumulus isn't on MTL. And why are you calling me 'amrita'; there's only one person on MTL who called me that lol.
Anyway my logical ability is fine, I was reading some comments on the Federer thread before the AO semi. 'Fed is going to hammer Nadal in 3 sets.' Some great quotes from you too 'Fed is going to teach him a lesson' blah blah blah.
You're still seething after the semi defeat, no

Amrita, you are not the only one who can have schizophrenic tendencies anyways I am not seething about Fed's defeat as it came on a slow like death court. All nadull did was to cover the baseline from one corner to another. We will see the result when once for a change nadal will play tennis.
Although I wouldn't hide the fact that how happy I am on seeing nadal's current state.
Don't forget its 0-7 now. It is worse than fed-al rivalary

Definitely not tennis as tennis will require little variation rather than standing on bashline and bashing the ball unrelentlessely. A friend of mine showed a link from youtube of nadal's amazing shots and it just turned out to be a compliation of baseline shots18-9stratocumulus wrote:

To correct, last 7 finals, it is seven losses. Well Nadal is doing his best to be remembered as the greatest no. 2 player of all time. My wishes are with him.

Fed never had a losing streak like this.
10/12 over three years, on every surface, and one win only because his contact lens fell out.
Hopeless really.

Laverfan, I had no choice, If I had put wow 5 then it would have been an instant ban and now amrita has brought the secret into open. Anyways I wont be sticking here for long. I saw few interesting debates so i thought of joining in and was missing old friends BB and Tenez, NITB.

Banter?
You're the clown who spent a day trying to insist that playing doubles is proof of fitness for singles. It was at this point that the penny dropped with me that you've never played the game.

Boggo i got an even more laughable one which dates back to 4 years now. Last 14 Federer Nadal meetings, 3-11. Across all surfaces. Did i hear Federer hasn't been dominated like that before?

One year has resulted in 0-7, I wonder how it will pan out after 4 years.

Re: Nadal's challenges
Realistically it will be like climbing a mountain for Nadal to get out of this lack of confidence. Not to forget that he was leading 4-2 in that final set and it was 30-15 when he put that backhand out. Nadal had the chance to finish Djoko off but he could not do it. It reminded me of Federer's drop volley in the FO final. I think and it is my view only that Rafa will struggle to wi against Djoko even when he will be winning. But we can only wait for other results to come.
Rafa has not performed great outside slams in recent months. I mentioned Dodig because even he has defeated Rafa in recent months. Murray marooned rafa somehwere in south east (shanghai or tokyo).
To be optinmist you can say it was closer but you have also to take into consideration that Djoko was looking half dead in that 5th set.

Must be frustrating for Federer fans. They can use any player against Nadal but can never use the player they would like the most, Federer. Why? 6-1,6-3,6-0 settles things quick

Not at all because tennis is because of Federer. Tennis fans are federer fans. Nadal does have winning record over federer but you see the result of that. Tennis is dying. What used to be a real beautiful game is a mere bashline duel now. Same point is played over and over again. Even at AO although Nadal beat fed in semi but tennis lost as Nadal did nothing but kept chasing those dead balls and sending them back. There is no surprise that why any forum is full of federer fans and only handful of anti tennis fans. V2 has to SA and Amrita and it wont be a surrpsie if they both turn out to be the same person.
So even Federer lost, his tennis is winner and his legacy will always remain. Post the links for Fed's best shots and Nadal's best shots and then let everyone see the difference.

Not really, Djoko saved the tennis from extinction so that made me really happy and every time I see 0-7, it gives me immense satisfaction. Fed is now 30 and not expected to win a slam anyway. He has amassed unprecedented 16 slams and the last player to beat Djoker in a slam which apparently nadal has failed to do on any surface in past 7 meetings between them.
Fedrer played scinitllating tennis even in that defeat so I am really proud of him. You have to play negative to beat a negative player which Djoko does it very good or how do you explain half dead djoker's victory over a fit Nadal?
Fed could never play the negative tennis hence his losses on dead surfaces like AO. What is nadal's record against in the tour finals or for that matter on faster wimby courts?
I only support Djoker because he is doing a great service to the game of tennis. I will support Dodig as well because he also did his bit in saving tennis in his last match against Nadal.

Okay, all Nadal fans are anti tennis. No not really but I do think that game has changed a lot and if you watch lot of matches these days then most of the rallies start on baseline and ends on baseline. If you ask me to pick a match from AO then I like LLodra vs Murray or Tomic vs dolg.

I responded by asking you (not directly stating) you whether you were a clown.
You then replied by saying I should follow the path of people who don't insult others and then gave the names of 2 people that have insulted and abused me the most since I have joined 606v2 and said I should follow their path.
You don't make sense to me wow.

well I will leave it up to you. But posing a question and saying is the same thing. At the same time you have to see whether I have said smae kind of things to you. Had you met me in a person you would have never said those kind of things to me so why sitting behind a computer should make it any different. I do not want to take these things seriously as it hardly affects me and the choice is yours.

lol stop trying to take the moral highground here. You accused of all posters on 606v2 who aren't Fed fans of being anti-tennis and said that all true tennis fans are Fed fans. I jokingly asked you whether you were being serious (i.e. are you being a clown) and you are trying to take the moral highground.

Re: Nadal's challenges
And by clown I didn't want to say that it was your actual profession, it was metaphorical.
For example:
Anonymous NADAL fan: Nadal is God!
Wow: No he's not...
Anonymous NADAL fan: Nadal created the universe!!
Wow: Are you a clown?
Anonymous NADAL fan: Yes, yes I am.
See 'clown' is not literal, in a tennis forum it's used when someone is 'clowning' around or taking the p*ss. I hope you do realise I didn't accuse you of being a real life clown. I don't know your profession, nor will I try to guess.

It's hardly a fight he's making ridiculous statements and I'm struggling to come to terms with the absurdity of it.
Who is he to decide whether or not everyone on this forum who is not a Fed fan is a real tennis fan???
