Mark Clayton Q&A Empty Mark Clayton Q&A

Post by Derbyblue Thu 2 Feb - 16:12

After coming out of Oklahoma as a two time All-American, wide receiver Mark Clayton was taken in the first round by Baltimore where he had to deal with a variety of niggling injuries but still managed to play the majority of their games, he was traded to the St. Louis Rams on September 6th 2010 but has had both of his seasons with the franchise cut short through injuries.

Please post any questions you have for Mark here.

Thank you to Mark Clayton for agreeing to do this Q&A with us.

You have been in teams who have had Adrian Peterson(although very young), Ray Rice and Steven Jackson as their running backs, who do you think is the most talented

Who is the toughest defensive back you've played against?
How goes the rehab? Will you be ready for the start of the new season?

What do you think about the Rams having to play some home games in the Uk over the next few years?

Have you been to the UK before?

Does playing a "home" game overseas give you a disadvantage over teams who play all of their home games actually at their home stadium?

Most analysts have St Louis taking a receiver either with their 2nd overall pick or with whatever pick they could get by trading down, if this happens, how would you feel

Some college football ones amongst others...

What is your opinion of the college realignment, particularly regarding the Big12?

What was your favorite rivalry game to play at OU. The "Red River Rivalry" or "Bedlam"?

Were you asked any bizarre questions at the Combine?

Are NFL players forced to stick to diet plans during a season?

What's your favourite fast food chain?

Captain Crunch or Count Chocula?

Who is the hardest hitter you have been tackled by?

What other colleges recruited you out of high school, and why did you choose Oklahoma?

The Rams have gone from 1-15 in 2009 to 7-9 almost making the playoffs in 2010 to 2-14 in 2011, what's your prediction for 2012?

If the International Series does break the lease of the Edward Jones Dome and the game had to be rearranged to no longer include the St. Louis Rams, how would you feel?

St. Louis' 2011 season was one to forget. Obviously, the lockout affected all teams, but how much of a role did it play in the Rams' free fall or were there other major factors?

How close do you feel to being 100%?

How do Rams players feel about having to go to London for 3 years straight?

Have you and any of your teammates actually talked about the feasibility of a U.K. based franchise and do you think it will work?

Would you like to play on an NFL team based overseas?

What was your favorite NFL team growing up?

Favorite wide receiver of all time?

I can partly answer that one... he was born there... well in Oklahoma City which is practically where Norman, OK is. That said it would still be interesting to see where else he could have gone.

Which feels better throwing or catching a touchdown?

During the lockout you set up your own business MyChristianT, what inspired you to start the company?

You went from being taken in the first round to being traded with a 7th round pick in return for a 6th round pick, were you surprised by the deal? How did you feel about leaving Baltimore and joining St. Louis?

Do you expect to be returning to St Louis for the 2012 season or will you be playing elsewhere?
