Re: Fantasy European League Homepage™
Mac - The method that you suggested does sound good to be honest.
However, I think as many of us have been used to this current method and do trust each other to play fair.
Hope you stay in this league as there are some good managers around with great banter.
Has Fluxy picked yet or he is still celebrating?

Yeah probably £45m for Spurs, they have a fedw great players but also have a few average ones.

The next thing to sort out is links, and I could do with a hand. Would people be able to volunteer to run one of the following pages:
League table
Knockout Cup

Re: Fantasy European League Homepage™
A media page, where managers can release statements about new signings, have a bit of pre match banter etc. The runner could maybe post some questions for managers to answer each week..
Nice one Cherries - sort out a link when you can and I'll get it up on the homepage.
FootballCrazy - yes mate, you're 11th pick.

Right.
If you need someone to do the "Player Releases" page I can do that. I do it for the FFA so I have experience in the job!! If not, I'll see if I can do one of the other pages when I get back.

You can run the player releases mate. Have a read of the rules so you know on what basis to set prices.

Yeah I'm for real. Reina - world cup, Euros winner, Gerrard - England legend, one of the best in prem last 10 years, Suarez looks class.
The German league is completely different, it's like comparing apples with oranges. I think you may be rating on potential rather than proven success - the average Joe down the pub wouldn't have even heard of Dortmund players.

The German league is completely different, it's like comparing apples with oranges. I think you may be rating on potential rather than proven success - the average Joe down the pub wouldn't have even heard of Dortmund players.
So it is based on historically how good they have been and how well known they are, rather than actually how good a player is now.
Granted that if you did a combined Liverpool - Dortmund team, Reina, Gerrard and Suarez would be in there, but there would be more Dortmund than Liverpool.
And without sounding big headed, I like to think I have a very broad knowledge of players across many leagues, so that is not being based on potential, that is being based solely how good a player is here and now. Liverpool would not get close to winning the Bundesliga. Outside those players you mention, the quality drops rapidly.
Sorry mate, but could you take me off the waiting list. I sense it is going to be another Premier League (and Real/Barca) biase league and that would just frustrate me

No its not.it's like comparing apples with oranges
From the sounds of it your rate the Premier League players because you see them on MOTD and dont rate others because you dont see them play.
Reina - WC Winner - so you auto rate him better than say a WC winner from 4 years prior? (this is an example btw)

Did Reina actually get any game time at the Euros and WC?

Re: Fantasy European League Homepage™
I agree that the quality drops off rapidly and this is reflected in Liverpools budget. I also think the same can be said for Dortmund.
Yeah, that makes sense, have me put in all this work to get dumped with Juve and have to do even more work!!
Cherries - are you able to maintain the league table if I give you the HTML? I anticipate the transfers, updating budgets, matchday pages and calculating results to take the majority of my time so that would be a real help.

Re: Fantasy European League Homepage™
Pull I'd say the prices between the teams could do with going further.
At present it's basically stating that Barca are only £55m better in players than for example Arsenal.

Macclads - take it you're Hero?
I agree to an extent. I don't want all the foreigns to go within the first week like a piranha feasting on some meat so wouldn't want budgets above £50 mil.
Could reduce Barca and Real's - or put a foreign embargo on them for the first week?
