Ferris was also awful and Heaslip even worse. Hard for a backrow to get into a game when your been smashed in the set piece.

I'd probably look at 6/8 depending where you're playing Fearns or in fact where Bath play him. I suspect 6 will be his position.

Wings could do with a tweak as league improves as could LH and Hooker. Be fine for time bring though.

Franks was good signing as anchors your scrum nice as takes away Mears issues in set piece. Nice engine room and midfield too.

Not a fan of Donald in the slightest, think he got a black jersey as a bet tbh. Does a job at this stage but I'd look to replace personally, others may think different. If you hurry and release him you'll get 4m as Int player.

Thanks for all the 'constructive' criticism!

Donald got the shirt as a bet? about 20 times then! Always been a very good super rugby player mate, just a bit maligned as DC's understudy. A great player at this level, shame he picked up an injury, was looking really good just before. Certainly not going to release him!!

I'll focus on back row then for now, got no issues with Biggs Mears and Woodburn.

No mate they're good AP players, I like Mears although he gets a little bit of a bad rep after the Lions tour.

Sorry, no fan of Donald. I've never liked him in the Super 14 either but that's just me.

It's not that I won't rate him but it's an area I'd look to improve to move to that next level.

If you ask opinions on main page, you're going to get opinions mate.

You asked where to improve and 10 for me is an area to improve in the future.

You're building a great side though.

That's more like it, it's nice to be nice; i'm sensitive when it comes to my adopted team. I hope prop is mentally prepared for it!

Team is coming along nicely, next signing could be a game changer. Was thinking about Cian Healy for a while, but concerned that after this weekend his stock will have plummeted!

Can't really think of a 10 I'd like to sign to be honest at this stage

My thoughts exactly! Especially with Domingo and Barcella out for so long and Woodcock and Roncero on the way out, he is right up there I think, with Corbs coming on leaps and bounds. (I don't include Oz props!)

Healy wasnt helped by his tightheads. and he was up against a top class scrummager in Cole. so no shame in taking a battering on the day.

always very good in the loose.

I'm tempted to go for a 9 or 10. Tough decision as have Young and Dickson at 9, Robinson and Gopperth at 10, but think could do with one world class half back.

I tend to think you need a top draw player in each combo to really compete. Not at this stage but in a few seasons time it's something to look at.

I think a top 10 is more important than 9 Nick. Cooper/Giteau/Priestland/TD all available.....

Definitely not going for Priestland, think he is overated to be honest. Giteau too old.
TD been off the boil a bit recently.
Morne Steyn is always a reliable option. Cooper or Elton Jantjes are tempting.

FTD has been in good form for Montpellier recently. PSA decision to go with Beauxis was utter lunacy. Not sure why FTD seems out of favour with successive French coaches. When he came on in the World Cup final he was sensational.

I like FTD, he does things that I like my 10s to do, takes it flat, not scared to bosh it up in contact, he just needs the right 9 and 12 either side of him and another goal kicker in the side. McAllister is another 10 I was thinking might be worth a punt, still really young, in good form this year, available all year round and an option at 12/13 as well.

Would anyone rate me down if I played Frans Steyn at 10? Might try it out in a cup game

Steyn is decent enough 10, but it's a fair old while since I've seen him play there, so couldn't in all fairness give you full value for him in that position.
