Tigers vs Falcons
I'll try and update this thread with the score until the england match starts. Score so far is 10 nil to the Tigers. Yellow card for Fitzpatrick for trip on George Ford.
Salvi got the try after 13 minutes.

How's Ford going so far?
England missed him for the U20's match against wales, is he getting a chace to show off his vision and passing?

Huuuuge drive from the forwards earns an early penalty.
Sounds like the falcons are struggling with the Tigers pack.

I was unable to make the game, but have watched it on AvivaTV.
Now to be fair the Tigers pack were dominant, but Ford has been really good.
He has made his tackles - an area Falcons must have considered a weakness, as a couple of times early on Swinson targetted Ford, who flattened him.
He is standing flat and threatening the gainline - buying space for those outside him (best shown in the assist for 36's try when he drew in Fitzpatrick and put 36 throughthe hole). The Tigers backs look much more fluent than usual. He has also put up some pinpoint Garryowens.

Re: Tigers vs Falcons
Oh and a fantastic scrummaging display by Tigers props. Ayerza may be driving inwards slightly, but Murray could not handle him at all and wass getting twisted every which way. Mulipola destroyed shiels with his power.

Re: Tigers vs Falcons
The pack has been working very nicely with that front row and Ed Slater providing the grunt behind them.
Sounds like Ford was doing his thing as per usual then, his kicking at goal can be a bit average but it was a windy day on Saturday so maybe that played a factor.

Re: Tigers vs Falcons
He had one iffy conversion attempt.
The other two that missed were from the touchlines, well struck and only just missed - one from the left touch line hit the left post, then the right post before missing.
Don't think he missed any penalty attempts.
Slater went off very early, Kitchener looked pretty good.

Re: Tigers vs Falcons
Not good news about Slater, he's been really impressive of late and he adds that bulk we have been lacking when Deacon is away.
