Scotland with something to build on
Although it was another loss under Andy Robinson it looks like Scotland finally have some backs that might be able to score tries. Two of the new boys got on the score sheet and it was good to see. As JD1 said they just don't have the support there when someone makes a break. This is nothing to do with AR as they've been doing this for ages. I think they are a very small step away from being a good side.

And I would like to add that if AR can get the dog that Wales currently have they will be extremely good

mckay, he isn't solely responsible, but I believe his selections are partly to blame. Most breaks seem to occur in the middle of the pitch, and in general I would expect our midfield, backrow and SH to be there first in support, particularly the midfield - but we don't seem to be picking players that are there on the shoulder where they should bemckay1402 wrote:Although it was another loss under Andy Robinson it looks like Scotland finally have some backs that might be able to score tries. I don't agree. I think it's a mental thing. They've been doing it since Matt Williams and there must be something that happens when they pull on the blue shirt. I would say, from the point of view of someone who is a Wales and a Scotland supporter that Scotland are pretty mch where Wales were in about 2003-2004. Just a little step away from being brilliant and there is maybe just that one thing missing that keeps them from dominating sides. Who would you bring in that would do the job?

Wouldn't disagree that it's partly mental too Don't want to take your thread down the Robinson-must-go route, so I'll leave it there.mckay1402 wrote:I don't agree. I think it's a mental thing.
