Are we trying to steal more U20 players from other nations?
Just read that utility back Greig Tonks is moving from Northampton to Edinburgh and qualifies through his Ayrshirian mother. He has played for younger levels for England and represented England U20s in 2008. Is it me or am I getting slight deja vu?
I guess time will tell but I have a feeling we may have snagged another back! This exiles programme is really kicking off! Although I think Shingler will still be ruled ineligible for Scotland and rightly so, hopefully the SRU won't screw up if Tonks ends up wanting to play for Scotland!

He's not commited to England as we have the Saxons as our designated 2nd string team - and he's only had U20's honours.
If he wants to play for Scots then fair play to the chap.
I've seen him once or twice for Saints and he looks sharp.

He's a sensible club signing, with the option that if he proves himself, he does qualify for national honours

He plays fullback or inside centre, a very good signing indeed! Although I'd think with Matt Scott and King Edinburgh would be pretty comfortable, perhaps Paterson is talking of retiring at club too?

Tim Swinson the Newcastle Lock/Blindside is also heading northwards at the end of this season now that the SRFU have found that he has a Scottish relative.
