Allen is certainly never short of a word. Think that he is a great player but i honestly feel that he is trying to drum up media attention. Mr Hearn must hate and love him at the same time

Re: Allen not making friends in China
He'd better be careful with what he says, especially in China. I don't think that will go down too kindly there at all. I saw what he said and whilst I don't oppose him speaking his mind, maybe he shouldn't have been so blunt. On saying that, I think Judd sounded like he was glad to be going home in a way.
This new attitude is suiting Allen though. I'll still support him beacuse I know he's a good guy but the "casual" snooker fans now have someone to boo. I think snooker were lacking a Quinten Hann-type figure.

ha, you could be right there TSC. The average snooker fan does need someone to despise.
I am still not convinced that this is all just a publicity stunt. That said, his comments about the Chinese cant honestly be seen as a publicity stunt, more speaking his mind and being a little unwise.
Great player and i am still a fan of his

Re: Allen not making friends in China
I saw. Well done to him. Great player, it's about time he won something big.
What's been overlooked though is that Stephen Lee is very much in-form at the moment. I'd put him as a big outsider (no pun intended) for the WC. He knows how to win.
I don't know how Allen will react to this. He will either push on like JT after he won in China or he will fall back like Ricky Walden. I hope he'll push on though.

Stephen Lee has been in some very good form but i doubt very much that he will go far in the WC.
I have had a feeling for some time that Allen has a WC in him and he is certainly bringing some form into it. Defo one of the favorites in my eyes.

I don't know, it depends on how favourable his draw is. I'll need to check it.
Allen has made it clear he prefers the long format so who knows!! I like him and I hope he wins at least 1 one day.

Re: Allen not making friends in China
if lee wins his first round he could then face murphy then trump then higgins in the semi. its very possible he could do it. i dont fancy trump to do well in this tourney.

I seriously hope that Allen wins, i really like him and as you say TSC, he loves the longer format. I actually think that it will be very open this year and i dont expect Higgins to win

Re: Allen not making friends in China
Allen really seems like another Ronnie with his critical comments lately. It's so easy for journalists these days to write stories now with the Twitter messaging. Is Mark always this ridiculous and provocative?

Allen is not in the league of Ronnie when it comes to his behavior just yet.
I actually think that there is an element of media hunting involved
