This boxing weekend
A total of five world titles are up for grabs in this weekend’s boxing. Two of which are currently held by Cuban fighter, Yuri Gamboa. He takes on the durable and experienced Jorge Solis. Fresh from his victory over Jason Booth, IBF Super Bantamweight champ Steve Molitor this time takes to the road to defend his title against South African challenger, Takalani Ndlovu. In other world title news, Russian middleweight champ Dimitry Pirog makes his first defence against Javier Macial. While, Pirog will enter the fight as favourite and is on good form, his opponent can certainly bang and will be looking to upset the odds. It’s also a big night for Cuba, with many of the Arena Promotions contingent in action.

Re: This boxing weekend
Great to see Carlos Molina back in action, shame its against Lara because I can't see that ending well for him. I watched Molina box Danny Perez in his last fight after taking the fight on at very short notice and he was on his way to a complete shut out victory until he tired in the last few rounds but still won by a massive margin. That fight was summer 09 however and I don't know why he hasn't been active as he looked like a real prospect. I think he'll be Lara's biggest test so far still.

Re: This boxing weekend
Any predictions then?
I agree the Molina fight will be a tough one for Lara, he's a big lad to. Lara should have the beating of him, but I doubt it will be an early stoppage as per his recent fights.
Pacquiao stopped Solis, but thats the only time in his career. Due to Gamboa's talent a late tko could be on the cards.
Gamboa - tko 10
Molitor - UD
Lara - tko 8
Vassell - UD
Pirog - tko 6
Mthlane - tko 7
Barthelemy - tko 4
Dimitrenko - tko 10
