Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
The two second rows for the England u20s are very good - one was from Quins and the other from Leicester - both good in the lineout, physical and good ball carriers.
Like the looks of Launchbury and Garvey, think both are going to be very good players - its quite funny when you go and watch a Wasps game when Launchbury is on as all the players refer to him as Tacklebury and refer to him as the big black bloke from Police Academy during the game. He's got potential to go all the way I think.

Seen the odd few games, he's played 10 when I've caught Brive. Playing ok tbh, not quite sure why he went over there with Brive usually a struggling side.

My mate farted once and blew a blood vessel and had to be hospitilised i'd say that was pretty low.
Also how did you break your nose? I'v broke mine twice once playing rugby and the other time i fell down the stairs of a pub drunk face first and landed on my nose.

He's going to be the best fly half in the world - has everything - cant believe he can still potentially play in another 3 JWCs!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
I am sure I heard he had another 3JWCS, could be wrong though - I think he's already the most capped at that level already. Ford almost scragged him there.
I do like Heathcote, looks a very composed player, makes right decisions - but with Ford he just looks like a player that is capable of achieving anything he wants in the game - I'm sure the u20s will win the JWC this year!

Banahan is so frustrating he always has to try a crap little offload, done it 3 times in last five minutes and has lost Bath the ball each time. He should just focus on running through people!

Still very early days for him. So many good youngster never fully kick onto the next level. He certainly looks a prospect but to put things in perspective Goosen is a few months older and starting 10 in a S15 franchise, JOC had around a dozen caps at his age.

They play in a league that encourages youth though.
Ford absolutely schooled Goosen in the 2011 JWC last summer - he was deemed better than Farrell who is now starting England no10.
Honestly, he's the best youngster I have seen who wears no10 shirt (JOC probably best youngster I've seen overall though).

He generally plays behind a pretty dominant pack though so hard to fully judge I think. A definate prospect......Goosen currently looks better imo

Ford looks a talent no doubting. Him going on to be best FH in the world though remains to be seen. Next few years crucial to his development really.

Ford doesnt tend to start games when Tigers have their best team out. I've seen him play quite a few times live and he has that special something about him.
I hope he develops as much as he could do - we've got some great talent coming through the ranks at the moment - shame that Mulipola isnt English, where on earth do Tigers find all these props!

Thing that worries me about Ford the most is his size, he's tiny!
Not many players his height/physical build make it at such a key position. It's not like he's a winger, he'll be targeted by people like Nonu/SBW/Steyn running down his channel.

His defence is very good - the benefits of having Mike Ford as your dad I guess - knocks players back, put some big hits in during this game.
Wonder how good Youngs will be as a hooker - seems highly thought of at Tigers.

I don't doubt he has solid defence but he's not going to get any taller and probably not much bigger. Its something I think could hold him back tbh.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Hasnt stopped Farrell, Flood or Hodgson winning caps - none are exactly big, or massive defensively.
He played a lot of league growing up - punches well above his weight, look at Jason Robinson he was small but was very good defensively.

Robinson was WG/FB, totally different as not in direct firing line.
Hodgson is the nearest I can think of (Flood & Farrell are taller & much more physical) and he has suffered throughout his career.
I'm not saying he will but it's something I think may hinder him reaching the top and possibly just becoming a good AP FH similar to Hodgson.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Where'd you see that Steven? Could transform the England backline - Strettle has been solid, but has become much more a defensive sort of wing as opposed to how he was when he first broke on the England scene, remember when he made 4-5 30-50metre runs against Wales a few years ago.
We just need Ashton to start running off players again, certain that his falling out with Saints has done him/England no favours - sure he apologised publically for it for first time last week, so hopefully this will make a change!
Could really punish Beauxis/Dupuy's kicking with that backthree.
Barritt and Tuilagi should be more than capable of stopping Fofana and Rougerie attacking, would have been different with TD at flyhalf for them, but you know that Beauxis is going to be kicking the ball a a lot. Strange call by the French that.

How did Julian Savea and Liam Gill get on this week? Heard they both started in s15 - heard Gill put in a good shift.
I dont want much s15, so was wondering who are the people to watch out for this year?

Not until the summer mate. Season finishes the last weekend in May, so will probably set a deadline of something like the 1st July for squads to be under the new limits.
Then will run a pre season tournament through July/August for people to try out new combos and bed players in etc.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership Season 4 Homepage
Am just knocking up fresh injury lists.
For information of everybody, all players who will be injured are players that were in matchday 23's in AP R13 (this was the last time I think everyone was pretty much at full strength before the 6 Nations).
Lists to follow....

Fresh injury list is up, and I have made the thread a sticky again. Please not that they do not come into effect until after this weeks Anglo Welsh Cup Final, I have just done them now as 1. I had some time to do it, and 2. it shoudl give everyone time to get loans in or transfers before their next AP games if that's what people want to do.
