Drinks in south-west London - Wed March 14th
Rather selfishly, I'm proposing a meet to watch a game (Quins A vs Exeter Braves ), have a few beers and generally catch up at the Stoop in south-west London on Wednesday March 14th - kick-off is at 7.30pm, so maybe a 6.30pm meet in the Quins Head Bar behind the south stand or if that's not open then the East Stand bar. Let me know if you can make it? It would be grand to see some old faces and make some new acquaintances too

I am officially going to cry
Middle daughter has parents evening and our appointment is at 7.40 due to the wife not finishing work until 7!!!
If I can get it changed to an earlier time then I will. I shall consult she who must be obeyed.

I'm out unfortunately, gutted as this sounds a classic
Sadly skint after a run of car related expenses. (I'm pretty sure the mechanic can now afford his holiday to Mexico on a happy note).
Are people still thinking of meeting up to watch some S15 in April?

I won't say it is the quick walk that is the problem, it is that pescy little meditteranean sea that I have to swim across that I don't look forward too.yappysnap wrote:biltongbek wrote:sorry can't make it.

It may be bad form to discuss another event on one mans event but SupRugXV in Ealing in April would be a definite

No, I live 700 km's from the coast. The only waves we get here are mexican waves. Sadly people complain when the surfboard hits them on the back of the head.

My impression of england is perhaps out of ignorance and misinterpretation from what I read or see.

Usually in May or September. Our Summer is a bit of a misnomer, the weather in late Spring and early Autumn is generally actually quite nice and far better than July and August which are bloody awful. I'd go to this thing just to meet some of you guys, but I think I am auditioning and either rowing or playing rugby so I don't think I'll be free

Although saying that if it's rugby, not rowing, then the game would be in Teddington so I'd basically be in the right area afterwards

Let me get this straight - Quins 'A' v Exeter 'A'. Hmmm. Harlequins Rugby Football Club and Exeter Rugby Football Club have their own 'A' teams.
Yet a major Rugby nation just across the Severn does not have an 'A' team. Instead they lure young children into their age group teams. And use that to trap the children in their mountain fastnesses until the children pledge their loyalty to that Rugby nation until the end of time itself. This can only be a scheme hatched by Lord Voldemort.

Maybe. But I am a chicken. I hid my little opinion on a quiet thread about meeting up for some Rugby and a pint. Probably would have started a race war if I posted it somewhere else.
You don't think they can see it here, do you????

Looking forward to seeing you lads (and any lassies) this evening - I'm intending to be in the Quins Head bar at the ground (or failing that being open in the East Stand bar) from about 6.30
