Froch Vs Bute May 26th Information Please
Hi Guys,
Long time reader , infrequent poster. Not looking for a debate as to who will win etc just some advice needed really. I am looking to attend this fight as it is quite local for me and i have never been to boxing live before so it is something i am desperate to do.
I was wondering if anyone had heard any murmerings of the likely undercard action for this fight?. I am a little concerned as Matchroom do not have the biggest stable, and the majority of them fought last night on the Brook bill. Add to that the fact that Gavin Rees and Mccloskey are in action before this fight and i am struggling to see any potential fights on the card. I am hoping Hearn stacks the card as he did last night, so what fights do you guys feel will/should happen on this bill?
Also i am planning on purchasing £80 tickets as i want to have the best possible view within my finances. Has anyone attended boxing before either in general or at the Nottingham arena and if so, what sort of view am i likely to get for my money?
Any advice appreciated...

The only way to describe watching a fight live is that the atmosphere carries the enjoyment more than the fight itself (depending on the seats of course). What I would do is look at where your seats would put you in terms of distance from the ring.
I saw a few of Calzaghes fights and spent a small fortune for his fight against Kessler and I was pretty close, though to be perfectly honest I can't remember the fight at all, where as the shows in smaller venues (MEN for example) were alot better.
I'venever been to the Nottingham arena but I'm guessing it's nowhere near the size of the Millenium Stadium lol, so you should have some decent seats.
But nothing compares to the atmosphere of a big fight.

SP is spot on about the atmosphere. I went to Khan vs Barerra, it had a decent undercard as well with Enzo Mac vs Ofalabi and Nicky Cook losing his world title, I was about 10 rows behind the VIPs, spent a fortune on the seats.
Couldn't hazard a guess who'll be on the undercard sorry, might put Frampton back out, he hardly got out of first gear on Saturday.

never been nottingham arena but for the money your paying your view should be great. as far as i know nottingham is smaller than m.e.n where ive been to loads of boxing (few khans/hatton and haye) and i normally go 50 quid tickets and get a great view. as long as your not up in the gods the view is normally pretty decent in the indoor venues. football grounds are a different story though!!

Not much news with the undercard although Pier Olivier Cote is rumoured to be fighting.

It is mate, belive it holds 9,000 which is about half the size of the MEN, I went to the Pascal fight there and the atmosphere was one of the best I have experienced at a fight, but as I can't make it to this one I hope you all have a horrible night and the fight turns out to make Skelton Sprott look like Dempsey Firpo.

Atmosphere at "big" fights are simply brilliant. I have only been to a couple myself, Khan vs Barrera and Khan vs McKloskey. Both had fantastic atmosphere. I am looking to attend Froch vs Bute, just dont know when tickets are for sale!!

Outer ringside is £120 so £80 will get you a good view of Froch getting his ears boxed off.

I thought it would you may be the only person who can't stand Froch more than me.
Congratulations to the Welsh for being able to chase an egg shaped ball better than 5 other nations who aren't very good at it!

I asked Mrs Windows if she wanted to go to this. With her having shown a fleeting interest in her compatriot, Mr Bute, I thought she might have enjoyed it. I even offered to pay for her ticket as well, but she still told me to poke it. Miserable old goat.

I went to Nottingham for the Dirrel/Froch fight and had tickets right at the back so watched the fight from the monitors, which were decent to be fair.
The atmosphere was fine and arena was decent enough.
