I NEVER KNEW THIS WAS A REF'ING TRADITION
but I really like the idea
Mexico vs Jamaica at La Ibero, Santa Fe in Mexico City
Referee: Craig Joubert (South Africa)
"The referee in Mexico City is Craig Joubert. He continues what has become a tradition - that the referee who referees the Final of the Rugby World Cup referees the first qualifying match of the next World Cup. "

I think that is quite cool to do that. I wonder what the quality of refereeing is usually for these qualifying tournaments?

I honestly feel the players will benefit from being reffed by a top referee like Joubert.

Joubert's probably the best in the world at the moment. That's quite a boost for the "minnows".

Wonderful lucky old Jamaica and Mexico. Not sure who I would prefer to support out of those two. Both countries are great.
71(999) MEXICO 40.00
86(83) JAMAICA 36.35

I knew this as I read about Andre Wa-ts a scrum reffing some minor game and trying not to answer questions as to why he chose to penalise England 7 times in the last 10mins in the 2003 final

I'm surprised they haven't flown Leighton Hodges over there, Ruby. He's a brilliant referee.

Freakin' fantastic. Even more Rugby traditions which we didn't know about. This is just another reason why I love this sport.

Ooh, I would think they are a little more than just pub teams, don't you think?
