I dont expect him to win the title but if he maintains this form then there are not many better players out there. One visit snooker is what he is all about and he is playing well. 8-1, poor Bingham.

Absolutely. Bingham's not played atrociously but Hendry's just battered him. Can't say the same for Ken though.

Doherty is not playing badly either, he is just not having the run of the ball. Robbo was playing fairly ordinary until that century.

Hendry proving once again who's the greatest of all time. I read earlier that he'd only lost one match in qualifying this year, which if true is tremendous and testament to the fact he's clearly putting in some effort.

How long before we reckon he's matched Davis' longevity?

I doubt that anyone will match Steve Davis' longevity, he is on another plane.

Is it inconceivable that Hendry could match him though?

If we can accept that Steve is no longer competitive at the highest level then Stephen only needs to last another eight years. If you assume he wins his first round match then he'll have accrued enough points to last another year, then it's only seven to go..........

Yeah you're right it aint gonna happen one more bad spell and that'll be it for Stephen.

massive from hendry. I did ask why he wasnt even on the poll earlier in this post. Was my fave player for years. Did this against Murphy in 09 but never settled after that. Hope he can put it behind him and stay solid.

He has completely shut Bingham out Taylorman. It was vintage one visit snooker from Hendry. If he can keep this form then he will be difficult to beat.

If Wenbo can beat Higgins then i can see Hendry beating Wenbo. It could be a good tournement for Hendry.

If Higgins wins then i cant see Hendry going further.

I did tip Wenbo to win. I honesty think that he will beat Higgins.

I did not expect this from Hendry, i thought Bingham would beat him well.

Hendry may be playing like the Hendry of old in the 1990's but this is only 1 match. The real key question is whether he can maintain this level of form when he has to play against the top guys like the Higgins, O'Sullivan's and Selby's.

Am thats what i have been saying gboycottnut. If he can maintain this form then he will be difficult to beat.

Mags will take care of Luca but he is an exciting prospect.

Billy, is the guy playing Allen decent? I've never heard of him. I know Liang has some pedigree if a bit erratic but, much as I hate to admit it, as a simple little Englander I struggle with which of the up and coming Chinese player is which.

This is just the sort of match Higgins tends to escape from, though I too though Liang was a decent bet at 4-1.

Just checked the odds and Higgins is as big as 1-2, if I wanted to make money is that not huge odds given his experience and talent in these situations?

I know next to nothing about Cao Hibbz, only seen him play once before and to be honest he didnt impress.

Exactly why the 2-1 on was a huge price, 6-1 on now. Much as I'd love "Honest" John to get beat (it broke my heart that he wasn't the man I thought he was) I'd be disappointed as I've got an Acca running (without him) that the winnings (yeah right) are all going on Trump and I don't want his odds to shrink too much.
