Selby in deep trouble now. At this rate seeds will be rarer than decent act on Britain's Got Talent.

It's not a shock if Selby goes out. 1) Barry Hawkins is a very good player. 2) He has a trapped nerve is his back/neck. It does give Trump incentive to win though because if Selby goes out 1st round and Trump wins the tournament, we have a new World Number 1.

It's an upset but not a shock of major proportions the BBC will make it out to be.

Selby now on the brink as he looks like falling 9-3 behind.

Shame. Without that neck injury I would have tipped him to go very far, possibly to the final.

Selby going out is not a big shock consdiering his injuries and lack of practice coming into the match.

The fact that Ali Carter is 8-1 up has blown me away, i did not give him a chance against Mark Davis.

This first round has had it all and is even looking like there might be a Williams - O'Sullivan 2nd round match. That will be a good one.

I feel it looks like it is going to be a John Higgins V Ronnie O'Sulilvan final this year, although I would love to see a Judd Trump V Ronnie O'Sullivan final.
