Enzo vs McPhilbin.
Enzos won the British title tonight, but in the first round Enzo is out on his feet and they rang the bell 47 seconds early to end the round!

Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
I pray they don't have a rematch. Enzo is goin to get hurt. He was all over the place in the first round. Was very suspect the way they saved him by ending the round early to save him. I think he will retire as british champ.
Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
I'd be pig sick if I had some of that 9/1 for McPhilbin to win by KO. Not for the first time in recent fights Enzo was in la-la land and ready to be taken out with another flurry from McPhilbin. Was the time-keeper drunk ? On 2 other occasions he started a 10 count even though there was no signal from the referee that a knockdown had taken place.

Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
Investigation and mandated rematch? As Wood said - if you had money on McPhilbin and he lost in such a manner you'd be beyond gutted. Disgraceful.
Can I now request Enzo to retire again? If he keeps this up, he's bound to get seriously hurt.

I'm going to watch the repeats now, was he just buzzed or was he properly out on his feet?

Oh dear sounds dreadful this doesn't it..
Just a genuine mistake no doubt...I'm sure nobody was trying to protect any investments or anything..
Shame really I was hoping the overhyped, useless, joke world champion would finally get squashed..
maybe next time.

Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
What a shambles.
If that is the level of organisation considered acceptable for a British title fight we have serious problems. It makes a mockery of boxing.
The fight was over in the 1st round as far as I am concerned.
I've enjoyed watching Enzo over the years but if he doesn't retire after being gifted the British strap he's obviously had too many blows to the head...oh ....hang on.

Il go on record and say...time for Enzo to retire
He clearly does not have what it takes to compete at world level and unlike Truss I dont wish for people to get hurt (his parents must be so proud) and the way Enzo is going its gonna happen so time to retire and commentate

Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
I want him to get knocked out....so he quits because no doubt that's what it will take...
But I don't want him to get hurt or be affected afterwards in a long term physical way....
It's all about interpretation and like usual with anything I write, you look for the most negative way to interpret...
Anyway you knew that already..

Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
Well personally I would rather him retire now than face a potentially harmfull knockout. I think thats the most sensible wish anyone could have for Enzo
Anyway im in a good mood as the weather here is awesome for a change and me and the mrs are off down the beach later so im happy to make up Truss

I don't rate Cleverly highly but seriously start following a face first brawler instead...
Great to watch but severely limited..

Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
It was shocking. Absolute disgrace and a robbery. 47 seconds left on the clock and Enzo was out on his feet, having really struggled to get up. In fact another ref may have stopped the fight then.
and then both fighters didnt have a minute between rounds. the time keeper should be sacked.

We'll get Buncey and Steve Lillis' verdict on the shambles tonight.

They probably won't mention anything either, Warren will have a shotgun pointed at them from behind the camera.
All Warren cares about is he has another British Champion in his stable to promote so keep that Boxnation regular Bunce and co quiet and hope everything goes away.
Im 99% sure this will be forgot about in a few weeks/months and McPhilbins record will not be corrected.
Just another Welsh boxer who is a joke champion.
On the other hand, well done too Rees and Buckland. 2 fantastic wins, if only certain others could learn from them.
Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
So did Buckland.....I think.
Didn't he beat Sykes for the British belt?
Decent win that was. Hes a good wee fighter

I doubt this will make him retire. If the Frenkal fight didnt, nothing will.

Re: Enzo vs McPhilbin.
Just watched the fight online. Absolute disgrace, Enzo looked out of it when the bell was prematurely rung. Should be an investigation for sure.
He really should question his future, I suspect he will continue though. Warren stable and all that..
