England: the Dad's Army thread Empty England: the Dad's Army thread

A light-hearted article:

In 2003 England were dubbed as Dad's Army - and were - well they did OK.

Every post must have a D's A cliche/quote.

I used one up earlier today with

Oh dear.

Auntie just quoted that Lancaster wants Farrell 'on board'.

We're done for! Erm

Lancaster will bring back Hape and Tindall and David Wilson will be saying in a camp way "Do you think that's really wise Sir?"

Lancaster will reply, "don't worry, if we lose we'll console ourselves with some of Sister Dolly's delicious upside down cakes"

Private Godfrey Corbisiero (after 40 mins against the Bokke front row) : I say, Captain Mainwaring, do you mind if I toddle off home now? My sister's rather expecting me home for tea.
