Valleys Rugby Rally at Sardis Road
Is anyone going to the Valleys Rugby Rally at Sardis Road tomorrow after the Pontypridd v Neath game.
Hoping to get some answers to the following tomorrow as I have serious doubts about another region starting up.
Where is the money going to come from to fund a new region?
Where will the games be played?
Where will the academy be based and who will run it as I see the acadamies as the future of the game in Wales.
There are lots more questions to be asked. Hope they put some meat on the bones and it is not just a talking shop.

Good luck with it Pyle boy.
Though I think it's flogging a dead horse.
The rumour floating round is the WRU want to merge the Ospreys and Scarlets to make a West Wales team, and merge the Dragons and Blues to make a East Wales team. with a North Wales team coming into being in 2 years time.
The Welsh game is in financial crisis there is no money for any new regions.

Common sense, commercially viable proposals like this don't sound like the sort of thing that gets mooted around the WRU, Alyn.
Must just be pub talk.

Dropping from 4 to 2 team would ruin player development.
Though the West region would be awesome with the Scarlets backs and O's forwards.

Re: Valleys Rugby Rally at Sardis Road
Why not have 3 regions down south. An East region a Valleys region and a West region
I doubt very much the greedy dictators of Welsh rugby like Peter Thomas and Stuart Gallagher will ever give up their power and Llanelli and Cardiffs status ever though

Re: Valleys Rugby Rally at Sardis Road
So what was the result of the rally?
How sound is the business plan?
Who are the investors?
Where would the games be played?
Is the WRU behind the scheme?
