Welsh players should be ashamed!
I don't mean just the current international crop, but those who missed the cut, younger players and ex internationals too.
Welsh rugby currently seems like the opposite of English football. Give everything for your country and play like donkeys at club level.
Last night was embarrassing and a disgrace to the game. I completely understand now why regional rugby is failing to attract crowds and why the few good players are buggering off to France.
The coaching is abysmal and primordial and the quality of rugby played is even worse. It is not about a recession or about BBC 2 on a Friday night being convenient to stay in. It is about not paying decent money to watch basically krap.
If the regions REALLY want to start working then they need to put as much emphasis on coaches as the WRU do. I would also change the names and kit colours of the Blues and Scarlets because there is absolutely NO regional feel about these sides whatsoever.

Yeah blues played like they had one eye on next week
I've been "told off" for suggesting that the attendances are low because the dirge that is served up every week. I'm told to get out my arm chair and support the team, hmmmm....
Coaching...
Watching super 15 - they commit far more players to the ruck and they drive beyond the ball so the srum half can get it away cleanly

Agreed, the standard of rugby and coaching is dreadful. Coaches like Baber, Brunell and Sean Holley pretty much sums it up for me

Yeah, they seem to do it more effectively this year, I think it is to not have too many players on the ground and to negate referee interpretation in the ruck. It is cleaner and quicker.

So, that's exactly what we teach the kids to do at club level.
So - serious question - what makes them stop doing it when the get to top flight rugby?
