Confused .com

With just one more sleep to go to Wrestlemania im usually like a little kid waiting for christmas. ( to then none wrestling fans browsing this, a grown man being that excited may seem starange ) But this is Mania Baby !!!

However this year im also a little confused , you see i usually have a clear idea of what id like to see happen were as this year im 50/50 on alot of the matches .

Do i want to see Cody embarass Big Show ? Win yes embarass No

Do i want to see Bryan beat Sheamus ? Yes but if Sheamus wins i wouldn't be overly diappointed

Do i want CM Punk to beat Y2J ? Yes but then were does he go... does he need the belt ? If Y2J wins could he be the one to bring through say Cody/Barrett into the World title picture ? This way Punk doesn't lose position especially if Y2J wins underhandedly

Do i want to see the Streak ended ? Yes and No .... Yes but not to HHH ... yet out of the 2 Trip is my favourite and it could lead into HBK going around one more time .

Then there is the team Johny v team Teddy match im not bothered either way to be honest just as long as there are strong showings from Ziggler Miz and Santino ( it would be a shame to waste the roll hes on ) .

and then theres Cena v Rock ........................... In recent weeks ive actually favoured Cena , Rock has been entertaining and looks in great shape but were does a Rock win leave us ? Cena isn't going to turn Heel no matter how much its wanted by some ( including me ) so why have the biggest star in the company lose ?

Im not sure whats going to happen in the wee hours of monday morning , but for the first time in ages im confused of what I would like to see .

there are alot of matches that are hard to call - is cody going to lose the IC title because of the emphasis on Big Show's poor Mania record? Is Punk going to lose the WWE title to keep his feud with Jericho going post-Mania? Will HBK screw HHH or Taker or neither? and finally will the Rock beat Cena in his home town or will the WWE back their current poster boy? This is an incredibly hard Mania to predict. Really this is how it should be, wrestling shouldn't be too predictable and I think WWE deserve credit for creating a PPV that has created so much anticipation and debate.

However, I fear Jericho will beat Punk underhandedly to continue their feud and keep Punk looking strong. The WWE seem to have a fixation with their heels being wily and cowardly and Jericho plays the cowardly heel brilliantly. I fear this will only confirm what many Jericho detractors have argued that Jericho was never a real main eventer as he's never had a strong run with the title.

I also fear that Taker will beat HHH for a third time and take his streak to 20-0. I desperately want the streak to end but I fear the tag line of the end of an era will be mere hype with no substance.

I hope Sheamus does beat Bryan and end the curse of the Royal Rumble winner - it is becoming far too repetitive that the RR winner keeps losing at Mania. Bryan is not yet a fully fledged champion like Punk or Cena or Orton so the loss won't be too damaging to his career - I expect he will put on a great match and win over more fans for his display and will at least be locked into a feud with Sheamus due to his rematch clause for the following PPV keeping him in the main event for the next couple of months.
