6WF NXT (6NG) - Discussion Area

After discussing the idea earlier over on the old 606 I thought I'd make a quick thread here.

With the recent influx of characters into 6WF I was thinking that it could be a good idea to set up a 6WF version of NXT where veteran promoers are partnered with newcomers in order to make joining less daunting and allow the us oldens to help newbies develop their promoing skills. This has been shown to work superbly by the COH storyline where Beer and Marshall were taken under Hero's wing and are now two of the best promoers we have! Also we could use it to adapt past characters, whose writers left e.g. Hellraiser, into useful jobbers/tag partners for people

Eliminations - If two Rookies are tied on elimination votes then the Rookie with the most immunity points will be saved.

Some other rookies could be Yarmouth Blade, Y I Man, Edan Ekram...

I really like the idea of this, as it could give some people who have less experience and are unsure of promoing tactics etc. like myself and extra hand.

You could even have some of the challenges used in WWE's NXT such as trash talking or similar.

I think the Pros should get to chose their own rookies, so they select who they think has the best chance of winning.

What would the prize be for winning? A tag titles opportunity?

Would I still be classed as a rookie, I want Cassius

I doubt it Dex. You are the Fresher's Ball Holder after all!

Not sure on a prize, but a tag team title shot would probably work the best.

Maybe have the rookies have to cut a promo on a particular topic and have the rest of the 6WF members vote which is best?

Dex if u wanted to enter u could, although ur already the freshers ball winner so maybe a touch past rookie. I think if we had a good range of characters as pros then we could get some really interesting outcomes out of this, as well as setting up some ready made feuds bad giving the rookies some 6WF history

meh, it's alright, I just wanted an excuse to love off Cassius

I remember HELLRAISER back in the day. He was a bit of a tool

Complete tool mate. We'll mainly use them if we're low on 'rookies'.

I ran 606 NXT back in the day and HELLRAISER was trying to qualify. He kept on going on about how he was better than anyone else that was taking part... In the end i put him in last place

Hellraiser joined 6WF the same week I did, he lasted 3 weeks before throwing his toys out of the pram as he hadn't become world champion! Haha

I think the tag titles is a great incentive, Marshall and I benefited from it and it would be a good stepping stone.

As someone whose come 'through the ranks' as it were, I think the whole rookie/pro thing would work from storyline point of view, its something for a new guy to get their teeth into rather than the generic new guy role.

It undoubtedly helped me and KB having a great storyline straight away and is probably partly why we have risen up the ranks so quickly.

As well as our brilliance!

A long time before I came up with the Church idea (and a long time before WWE did NXT) I wanted to bring in a rookie as my understudy, it was Snake Eyes I recall that I wanted but it never came about.
I think it's a cracking idea, it worked wonders for Clarke & Marshall, 6WF's answer to Orton and Batista!

Probably going to be chosen between the pros. Therefore we get some great matches as well as characters that will rub off each other well (in a Daniel Bryan/Miz way)

Now bear with me on this idea, but I had a thought that in a few months I might retire Max Adamson and replace him with a new character.

So why not have my new character be Max Adamson's rookie, I promo as both and when the time is right Adamson leaves? Just an idea, Max Adamson is going nowhere anytime soon, but would be a nice storyline.

Obviously depends on Mat and Crimey's views.

I like that idea, would enable you to get your new character over whilst keeping Max around.

If Mat and Crimey are happy with it then I obviously am

Y I, that doesn't matter. Edam, Shoe and Eagle are already on the main roster.

As I see it 6WF Next Gen is providing the opportunity to help with character development whilst also allowing the 'rookies' to appear on the main shows as well
