Extreme Rules - Build Up (Spoiler Alerts) Empty Extreme Rules - Build Up (Spoiler Alerts)

It seems as though there is going to be an interesting build up to the Extreme Rules card with the following confirmed at present:

John Cena v Brock Lesnar (no stip to date)
WHC Title: Sheamus v Daniel Bryan (Three Stages of Hell)

Also, the following matches appear to be in creation:

WWE Title: CM Punk v Chris Jericho
IC Title: Big Show v Cody Rhodes
Randy Orton v Kane

Overall it appears to be building to a strong card and with a couple of weeks to go they would only need to add a couple more matches to that in order to have a good card. Would love to see a tag team ladder match but I can't imagine that there has been enough build up for one to legitimately be done.

Cena/Lesnar is obviously the headline match and it will be interesting to see if a stipulation will be added to it. Rumour has it to date that there will not be though I would guess that they may brawl and give credence to a no DQ match of some kind. Depending on how this goes I would love to see a submission match between then with the stick being that Brock pushes his "legitimate" status and claiming that Cena could never make him tap out. That said I would guess that would be one for another day.

The WWE title match will hopefully be the shop stealer. I can see them going for an I Quit scenario or something to emphasise the personal nature of it but after last years Cena/Miz suckfest that may not be popular.

The WHC title one would be interesting as surely if DB was picking the stips he would choose a purely submission based match?! Then again it will be interesting to see whether there are any breakdowns of the falls here. A cage match ending would be good because DB could talk up beating Show and Henry in a cage to boost his flagging credibility.

Kane/Orton is likely to be a war of some kind and can see a LMS match for this one.

Anyway, to date (12th) this is what we have, what can you see being added and how will things develop over time?

I reckon Last Man Standing for Cena-Lesnar; Pinfall-Submission-Cage for Sheamus-Bryan; Ladder match for Jericho-Punk; Falls Count Anywhere-No DQ for Kane-Orton. I have no idea about Show-Rhodes.

Last Man Standing just seems to make sense for Cena-Lesnar. They're both fantastic at brawling (and bleeding), and it puts over Lesnar's "legitimacy". I'm hoping this won't be the case, but I can see a Cena clean win as an FU to UFC and to put over the idea of wrestlers being tougher than MMA fighters to the "universe"...and the majority being young an naíve will probably buy into it.

Pinfall-Sub-Cage, in my eyes at least should go as follows, Sheamus via Brogue Kick, Bryan via Cattle Mutilation, then I want to be surprised for the final fall. Would love to see Bryan get the strap back though, and go uber-heel, I'm loving him as a heel and I don't want him to turn.

Ladder Match for the WWE strap would showcase both men's incredible talents. Neither man is a stranger to insane bumps either, so it could quite easily be match of the night...and I'm guessing it will be.

Falls Count Anywhere, again, just seems to make sense. Let them go at it all over the arena, although I'd love for them to go outside (á la Snow v Holly in Mississippi...can't see it happening though). Would put Kane further over as the Maniacal monster, and would give Orton back a bit of the credibility that he seems to be lacking atm. Personally, I'd like to see Orton go over. When he's on form, he's up there with the very best, and I reckon a push for the belt will give him the confidence to be consistently brilliant.

And now, the big one, the one we've all been waiting for...oh, wait...Nevermind. Cody HAS to go over or I'll seriously fall out with the E. I'll throw a major strop and throw my TV through the window if he doesn't. Show doesn't offer anything anymore, I don't see why they put him over at WM, it just doesn't make sense. On a more positive note, I'm hoping for an appearance from Dusty, mainly because I'm a HUGE mark for Dusty.
