The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Edinburgh
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Edinburgh, as the team has made their first ever Heineken Cup Semi Final.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Martyn Williams, Shane Williams, Paddy Jackson, Paul O'Connell and Tim Visser.

Well in Wales, they could go to the Liberty or PYS as they are within an hour of the MS. If youre in Ireland, a trip to Limerick is not that much out of the way is it?

Yeah that could be a way to go with it. Certainly having the same country helps raise a bit of buzz.
It's not that I'm against the current way of doing things, it makes a great deal of sense and a great weekend festival of rugby. Just thinking out loud really. Dreamers comment about Llanelli having a final started me thinking. Obviously a dangerous state of affairs.

You'd be about two hours drive from Belfast, Limerick or Galway from Dublin Glas. The roads are pretty daycent.

I'm guessing that the stadium would have to meet certain criteria which might not be the case for Belfast, Llanelli or Galway, say?Notch wrote:You'd be about two hours drive from Belfast, Limerick or Galway from Dublin Glas. The roads are pretty daycent.

I think Parc Y Scarlets would, I don't think the other two would though. Ravenhill probably will post-upgrades.

I'd imagine the RDS will host the Amlin next year no?
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Edinburgh
By the way, the end of season gongs in the Pro12 are this year featuring a Dream Team voted for by fans.

Yes, I managed to shoe in Paddy Wallace. What? He's been good this season
I'd love to see him outside Duncan Weir and inside Casey Laulala,

They really could have made that better by declaring that a player had to have played in a certain percentage of games.

I always mix up Weir with Laidlaw, both small, goal kickers and one of them played at 9. I'll get back to you with another scrum half.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Edinburgh
Mine was;
Isa Nacewa (Leinster)
Tim Visser (Edinburgh)
Casey Laulala (Cardiff Blues)
Paddy Wallace (Ulster)
George North (Scarlets)
Duncan Weir (Glasgow)
Ruan Pienaar (Ulster)
Duncan Jones (Ospreys)
Leonardo Ghiraldini (Treviso)
Adam Jones (Ospreys)
Richie Gray (Glasgow)
Devin Toner (Leinster)
Peter O'Mahony (Munster)
Shane Jennings (Leinster)
Pedrie Wannenburg (Ulster)
It's a very hard task to get it right- to make a totally unbiased selection. I haven't seen much of the Welsh or Italian sides this year. My Irish and Ulster specs are probably obvious, though I've tried to be unbiased. I just don't have time to watch 4 or 5 Pro 12 games every round.

I should really watch more games. Some of those are based on about 3-4 matches where I saw a player do well.

Luckless, he reminds me of Shane Williams/Jason Robinson.
Nowhere near same class but that style. A small man who uses his head and his instincts to excel.

Oh btw the ultimate wheeling deeling.
Buying a Mazda 323F later for €200 AND I will get a minimum of €150 (max of €190) back from the garage if I trade in for scrap metal before September. NCT runs out in August.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Edinburgh
That's a steal, Stag. Is it a hatchback? My sister had an old Mazda hatchback. She never had any problems with it and sold it to my dad's neighbour; the first journey he took it on, it more or less blew up and he had to get another car. My sister was too sheepish to go to my dad's for ages in case his neighbour was there.

If you're only using it for shortish journeys I doubt you'll have a problem with it.

Just to-from work everyday (about a half hour commute) as well the occasional longer spin.
I'm only going to use it from now until August and spend the time looking for a better car.

Is it the sporty version of the hatchback with the pop up lights Stag?

I still keep thinking of the Beemer I could have bought the other week. The owner was in the office this morning and he still hasn't sold it. If I had the £1,000 for the insurance to hand, I'd take it off his hands.

No the regular kind Billy.
This is basically what it looks like 0 http://www.netcarshow.com/mazda/2000-323f/800x600/wallpaper_06.htm
Its in ok shape overall but definitely isn't a car for long term (280,000 KM on the clock)

I fell asleep behind the wheel after work 43 hours straight for the first one (my fault) The second one was backed over by a drunken Polish Lorry driver and the 3rd one was crushed accidently by a heavy vehicle who didnt see it.
