Come on, I don't like Ronald but how exactly do you "let your phone go off"? Like I said earlier there was as much disturbance (hardly any) in the other sessions I was at as at Ronald's. It is amazing how many people are incapable of turning off or turning to silent their phones when asked. Averaged one every frame probably in a crowd of less than a thousand.
Hibbz, he was there.
It happened TWICE when Robbo was down to take a shot. Once could be called coicedence but twice no way. Easy enough to do letting your phone emit a noise.

I don't like Ronnie but he's played well. I think if Neil had turned up this afternoon then he would have won but Ronnie.

Ronnie will win this now. Too naive from Robbo really. He just pushed the boat out too much and dangerous thing to do when your playing Ronnie. If that had of been a John Higgins or something he would have been far more canny.
Congrats to Ronnie though - the better player, more consistent, wins through to a semi against Matthew Stevens.

TSC nice backhanded complement there.
robbo will never acheive ronnies peak performance level, so your point has no bearing on anything, just sounds like sour grapes

Yes he does but like Maguire, lacks the mental strength to beat Ronnie.

1 bad session cost him dealy Come on Matchu!!
It was indeed mate. There were some good people there too.
Backhanded compliment? Me? Never! I acknowledge Ronnie played well but honestly, if Robbo had lost that session 5-3 I think he would have won.

i dont understand what you mean- your saying that if robbo played better he would have won- what if ronnie had played better than what he did- who would have won then!
ifs and buts are only ever used when sour grapes are being dished out. face facts the better player won

There were, i even liked Siefer, for all his Ronny fanboyism he was very clever at times and quite funny.
They are all on SI now.
I am still mates with JFLT. Watched him on the Steve Davis docu last year, the guy is still mad for his snooker.

Foolish!
You obviously don't have a clue what I'm meaning. IF Robbo had played better this afternoon, he would have won this match IN MY OPINION!

Re: Who will win this years World Championship?
The better player won on the day of course but Robbo was pretty dire this afternoon with (going into the last frame of that session) his highest break being 20 something. Just not good enough by his high standards or any other pros standards. Ronnie scored heavier and won deservedly in the end. Still someway to go before Ronnie is crowned champion though as I am sure the likes of Stevens, Maguire, carter or Jones won't throw in such a dire session and then we will see what Ronnie is made of.

As TSC said earlier, every player has a bad session and Ronnie is yet to have his.
Ronnie is not mentally the strongest but he has been there and done it enough and knows how to win. Stevens doesnt. Ronnie is far and away the favourite now.

Re: Who will win this years World Championship?
Yes I would definitely make Ronnie favourite to beat Stevens now but if Stevens can hang in there who knows? I think the biggest danger to Ronnie now is Stephen Maguire but I doubt his big match temperament but we shall see.

Re: Who will win this years World Championship?
My only doubts I have for Stevens is that he went through a slump in form a few years ago and dropped out of the top 16 and that screams lack of consistency now I know he suffered personal tragedies around that time so hopefully he can really turn in a strong performance as close matches make for great snooker.

Re: Who will win this years World Championship?
Craig - I would say that loss in form was entirely down to the personal tragedies, he's had a fair few tough years to get through. Looks like he's back in some serious form now though, which is only a good thing

Re: Who will win this years World Championship?
It would be a warm hearted winner of the world title considering what he has been through in the past. I am hoping he does himself justice and with Ronnie you never know what you get. Magic or mental mayhem? If the latter creeps in then Stevens has a big chance.

Jones looking the stronger now and pulls back another frame to trail 10-12. Ali looking edgy now. This match isn't over yet.
