Players out of the summer tours.
I am interested to see which countries have what players out for the summer tours, Some may be doubtful and others are out for sure.
I'll make a list of the South Africans that may have made the sqaud that are definitely out.
Schalk Burger - Knee
Juan Smit - Achilles
Johan Goosen - Shoulder
Duane Vermeulen - Knee
Jaques Potgieter - Knee
Players who will be back and might be available.
Jean de Villiers - Wrist
Gio Aplon - Hamstring
Andries Bekker - Back
Eben Etzebeth - Shoulder
Dewald Potgieter - Hamstring
Who of your country might make it and who is out ?

For Ireland, off the top of my head I can only think of Fitzgerald (neck) and Bowe (liver?), but I fear PO'C might be out too

POC will be out, he could have done serious damage to his knee. You knew he was feiced when you saw it real time. The replay made it worse.

RFU have ruled out Wood, Croft, Webber and Lawes.
Morgan, Flood & Ashton limped off yesterday.

For Wales only Jamie Roberts is definitely ruled out.

The Wallabies at this stage:
Vickerman
Cooper
Joc
Leali'ifano - compound fracture of ankle last night
Tapuia
Drew Mitchell
Lachie Turner
Mostly backs which goes against our injury trend of the last few years. Lilo, Tapuia and Turner would be second tier, but the first layer being injured means their absence becomes more significant.

Tommy had an op for a haematoma on his kidney, but in his own words he's hoping to be back in action in three months - that'll be July from when he said that.
Maes is correct in that J-Ro is definitely not touring. I hope we don't get any more injuries between now and then. Tipuric was out of the O's game last night due to a minor injury, but it wasn't anything serious.

A few are carrying knocks but Roberts is only one def ruled out so far. I think we have to take strongest squad possible so lets hope the lads carrying knocks can get through

Quade Cooper looks set to return in the next 3 weeks . he's already running at training according to Herald Sun . I look forward to his comeback, the reds are exciting to watch with Cooper at 10

Scotland - think we'll be missing Kelly Brown still thru injury and probably now Jim Hamilton thru idiocy

Aye. I wonder what Paice said that upset him so as they headed to the bin. From the pics of the brawl it did look as like Paice was trying to turn Big Jim castrato.

But Scott William and JD2 failed fitness tests to play for the Scarlets yesterday as hid North (groin) and Rees (ankle). Halfpenny and Warburton were Blues players who failed to make the game together with Roberts.
Bennett has also been unavailable for the Ospreys, also Tipuric missed yesterdays game due to injury.

Seagultaf - Tipuric's injury wasn't serious though, he got a back spasm during the week. I think he'll be playing next weekend.

As I said, Roberts is the only player who has officially withdrawn. We may see more, we may not. There are a few more games to be played.

From what I can tell we only have Carter at risk, Slade and Boric. There are probably more. Weepu might still have a problem with his abs...i.e. he can't find them yet.

Kaino is out for ABs, presumably they'd have picked him.

Poor old Stoddart. Missed over 12 months already. Good player but having missed the last four welsh Squads announced I would say that he will need time to get back into recognition once he does finally regain fitness.

Yes I herd it was purely a precautionary withdrawal

He said the same about Crofty.
But having said that - having had my Tiger tail twisted - anyone remember Jordan Crane?

Re: Players out of the summer tours.
Ferris has hobbled through the last 3 months.
I think the medical verdict could well be a long rest needed - say 4 months otherwise your career is over.
If it hadn't been for the knock out stages of the HC I doubt he would have played after the 6N.
Sadly I think this is the way it is going to be for the rest of his career.

Re: Players out of the summer tours.
I honestly wouldnt be concerned about Ashton limping off. If he doesnt tour...we have Wade, may even JJ who are seriously CLASS.....
Ashton needs a major attitude adjustment...and i have been a big supporter of his when he was getting slated. Just think now he needs to sort himself out.

That sounds worrying geoff but not surprising considering we thought his career might be over last season.
The way he's come back has been phenomenal but it would be foolish to risk him.

The think that worries me is a Ireland set of forwards without POC, Fez and maybe Best would be seriously compromised imv.

Oh bum. I think we really do need Flood to tour. And I had completely forgotten Jordan Crane! What's the news on him?
Thinking about experienced fly halves, I've said before now that Charlie Hodgson was not imo really England material, but he is playing very well at the moment. I don't think it would be a disaster if he toured.

I hadn't heard that about Cooper Bullsbok. It would be good to have him available, but would 3 weeks put him to the start of the test break without a game? I hope for his sake they let him come back via S15 rather than straight into the tests.
The other guys are all done Biltong (although I'm going to follow Bullsboks lead and add the herald sun to my updates list for confirmation). Turner (hamstring off the bone) is healing faster than expected though which might be good news for the Tahds.
